Today I went to load this dynasty, and it tells me it has been corrupted. This is quite disappointing as I have enjoyed this dynasty and put in so much time in to make it what it was. I don't know if I will do another dynasty, until Elite 11 comes out as I am too lazy to update the roster manually. Adding to this misfortune, Chris Bosh is leaving Toronto. I guess this was all meant to be

Okay so, I have been following along with a couple Dynasties on this forum and finally decided to sign up and try my luck at one. The team I will be using is the Toronto Raptors. I will try to play all of my games, and will either do weekly or monthly recaps, not sure yet. Please try to bear with me.
I will be using the automatic Live 365 updates, however EA got lazy and made a generic player for all 2009/2010 rookies and free agents. Therefore, there might be some unexplained movements of players and duplicates, but we shall see.
Also, comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

That's mainly because the DNA updates were never supposed to continue for NBA Live 09; the updates for 09 were only ever guaranteed for the duration of the 2008/2009 season.

Anyway, I like your presentation, shame about the loss to the Bucks but nice start all the same.

This looks pretty good man. But for the last game didn't you face TOR and not Philly?
Sat Jun 19, 2010 1:01 pm
How can he face Toronto? He's playing as the Raptors.

I like this so far.

The recaps are simple, and the pictures are also a nice touch. Stellar first week.

Dig the layout

Good team as well, I'll be interested to see what direction you take them in. Best of luck

Phoenix's Robin Lopez and Toronto's Patrick O'Bryant show off their new duds
Raptors - Suns, Swap Big MenIt was announced today that the
Toronto Raptors and the
Phoenix Suns have agreed to a deal that will send Robin Lopez and Phoenix's 2009 2nd Round Pick up north, while Phoenix will receive the 7'1 Center Patrick O'Bryant.
This deal came on the heels of two disappointing losses for the Raptors who out grotesquely out-rebounded in both games.
So far, in 6 games for the Suns, Lopez has averaged 3.5pts 4.8rebs and 1.7blks, all whilst playing only 23 minutes. Although it is likely he will not dress, the Raptors have acquired a young big with tremendous upside. "Give him a couple years, trust me, he'll be scary" said Chris Bosh of his new teammate. The Raptors also acquired Phoenix's 2nd Round Pick in this year's draft.
Patrick O'Bryant hasn't played for the Raptors this season, but he will get in chance in the desert, backing up both Amare Stoudemire and Channing Frye at the Center and Power Forward positions respectively.
The BreakdownToronto Gets:

Robin Lopez - 7'0 (68)

Phoenix's 2009 2nd Round Draft Pick

Phoenix Gets:

Patrick O'Bryant - 7'1 (67)

Wow, for Patrick O'bryant i'm surprised phoenix went along with that trade but you did a good job in getting Lopez, i'm a big fan of the Lopez twins.
Sun Jun 20, 2010 4:37 am
Looking good. nice trade u got,
Sun Jun 20, 2010 5:13 am
Great deal for you. Damn, O'Bryant is as ripped as Schwarzenegger in his prime.
Sun Jun 20, 2010 8:31 am
Great start man, hopefully you can resign Bosh, he went to the Rockets in my game for a year .-.
Sun Jun 20, 2010 9:59 am
Great trade.
Sun Jun 20, 2010 2:27 pm
Love the addition of Fropez. He'll do an awesome job for you off the bench.
Sun Jun 20, 2010 9:50 pm
nice trade,Lopez is really good
Mon Jun 21, 2010 2:06 am
Thanks for the comments guys.
My original plan was to get Marc Gasol from Memphis for like Rasho and two other players, possibly Jack and Wright. However that didn't work out. So then I set my sights Phoenix's Channing Frye. After a number of failed attempts, they counter-offered O'Bryant for Lopez and I just threw in their second-round pick to see what would happen, and who knew, trade accepted.
Anyway, I have one game left to play this week before I can post updates. Except, that might take longer than expected because I have to work tonight and have exams all this week D:. I will try my best to get the updates up this week, if not, I will be posting them regularly in the summer. Stay tuned.
P.S. Actually, I have been wanting to ask, how is my overall presentation/recaps? What do you like about it? What should I change? Would you like more detailed recaps, or just more pictures?
Mon Jun 21, 2010 2:18 am
I think you should add some text too, not just highest pts/reb/ast. Some game story and perhaps more pictures.
Also, every new dynasty maker now does the picture, score, potg and high pts/reb/ast with nothing else. Try adding some creative touches.
With weekly recaps you can also add the 'Raptor(s) of the week' feature. I see this having potential.

I really like your recap style, but I think it'd be even better if you added all the players who scored double digits. Having your highest scorer is good, but it doesn't always tell the whole story. A lot of times, the supporting players contributions can be just as telling... particularly if it's a player that's not usually a scorer. I also like the idea of adding a summary, but that's really up to your discretion... as I said, I dig the recap style

The pictures are great and I liked the way you set your trade announcement as well. Keep up the good work.
