Knicks scrub Eddy Curry is having trouble paying back a $570,000 personal loan because he's got so many bills.

Like the personal chef, the Rolls-Royce, the private school tuition and $650 a month on cable TV.

Not to mention the $350,000 he owes NBA star Juwan Howard and the unpaid mortgage on his mansion.

He spends $17,000 a month on rent and another $30,000 on "household expenses" - and that apparently doesn't include $425 on satellite TV.

His parents, sister and father-in-law get another $16,000 a month. And relatives have driven away with some of the 12 cars he's purchased.

Personal chef? What the hell does he use that for, it's not like he's eating healthy.

Mr. Curry appears to be a very, very generous man," David said. "He appears to have taken it upon himself to support every person named Curry on the East Coast.

85% interest rate? Curry obviously can't do a simple math to save his life. We must be seeing Antoine Walker in making.

The sad thing is, he's still being grossly overpaid by an NBA team. Kenny Anderson, Isaiah Rider, Derrick Coleman and Antoine Walker may also have financial problems, but they've at least been out of the league for a few years.

But that's because of the idiot Isiah. No other GM would give him such a ridiculous contract.

Well... I would be surprised if he doesn't experience financial problems later when he's out of league.

Indeed. But with that income, he's really managing his money badly if he's in debt. Players like Antoine Walker, Derrick Coleman, Kenny Anderson and Isaiah Rider have been out of the league for years so they've obviously been trying to maintain a certain lifestyle without the necessary income. Curry's getting over $10 mil a year and he's still in financial trouble.

I'm having a bad feeling about this off-season. I think the major players will stay with their teams(with Bosh joining Wade in Miami). LeBron will resign with the Cavs for two or three years, then head to Brooklyn. This is a critical time for the Knicks. Walsh better have Plan B or C ready, or it'll be another ten years of frustration.

my feeling is the knicks are gonna way over pay for whoever they can get. i still say joe johnson is not worth a max deal but once the big 3-4 free agents sign i can see the knicks loving to give him a max deal.

Walsh said he won't make the same mistake previous Knick regimes made. I have to take him at his word.

A GM would have to be as clueless as Isiah to give Johnson a max deal. The playoffs proved Johnson to be a complimentary player, not a difference-maker.

If the Knicks don't, I have a sinking feeling the Bulls might.

Okay, Donnie Walsh. Next season for the Knicks begins NOW. Time to earn your check.

The Knicks have taken their first step toward being respectable, although I have concerns about Amare's knees. We desperately need a point guard and some defensive/rebounding help.

I guess Lee's out the door. I heard a sign and trade for Monta.

Not sure how I feel about Amare, for some reason I keep getting flashbacks of McDyess' stint in NY. The sign and trade would be a 3 way trade with Al Jefferson to GS, Lee to Minnesota, Monta to NY.

What do you call a power forward that averages 7 rebounds?

That's why, unlike a lot of Knick fans at other sites, I'm not doing handstands over this.
