Seen it. Good to see old skhool (did I spelled it korrektly?) MK back.

I was a fan of the game especially the color-swapping sprites.

Nice! Looks like it's going back to what made the series work, without a DC crossover in sight.

I didn't like the DC krossover anyway. Old skhool si kool!

Kung Lao. That is all.

People still care about Mortal Kombat? Don't they know the sequel to this is coming?

It was better than I thought it would be, but definitely not my favourite in the series.

I refused to even bother with that nonsense, Andrew. You know how crazy I am about this stuff. It has to be real Kombat for me. That's why I'm salivating over MK9.

What's wrong with the non-old school games? Really, I don't have discriminating taste for video games, but this game looks real kick ass!

I think that was more about the DC Universe crossover, which had to make sacrifices to get a lower rating. Crossovers themselves can be a sore point for fans too.

Well I haven't played MK vs DC but I don't think I like it much.

The controls were familiar, the story was OK for what it was, it was kind of funny at times to hear the MK "announcer" call out the DC characters in that same ominous voice and overall it was better than I thought it would be. That's about as much credit as I can give it though, it was decent but I completely understand Jeffx wanting nothing to do with it.

I didn't even bother to rent it, Andrew. The DC Universe crap ruined it for me.

It was an ambitious and somewhat creative idea, I'll give them that as well. But I'm definitely glad they're moving away from it.
Seems they're going to pick up the story after the events of Armageddon, with a focus on characters from the first three games. GameSpot's
Hands-On Impressions mention a total of 26 characters overall and apparently there'll be DLC characters as well. No 3D sidestepping moves, but I like the idea of going old school there so I'm not too upset about that.

ok, the last head slice made that the best fatality i've seen
Wed Jun 23, 2010 3:33 pm
Agreed, that's some classic MK pointless gore.

Jeremy Parish (and tons of people I've seen at various gaming forums like GAF) says you guys are ruining gaming:

Yeah, those are familiar sentiments.

Scorpion with the clean and smooth slices, nice.
Jeremy Parish can suck it.

Kung Lao fatality, yeah!

Entrances are a nice touch and those x-ray moves are just plain gory. Great to see some classic moves in there too, looks awesome.

That Kung Lao fatality... wow. Like my good ol' friend Andy Samberg would say, "jizzed in my pants."
