Another Flash game to check out: Super Mario Bros Crossover

It features the levels from the original Super Mario Bros, though you can choose to play with Mario, Simon Belmont, Mega Man, Samus, Bill Rizer and Link, each of whom have abilities from their respective games. It's pretty fun, though as you can imagine Bill is a bit of a gamebreaker with his machine gun.

You don't even to need to repeatedly jump to get those coins with Bill and machine gun in hand.
Simon's fire whip isn't bad but the lack of range pales in comparison to all the others.

Simon's jumping mechanics are also pretty difficult for Mario's levels. They were hard enough at times in Castlevania.

This is actually quite cool. Made me try all the characters except Mario. Pretty fun game... I wonder how Sonics would do in this game.

Sonic would own it, if his spin counts as an attack.

Yeah, in a way Mario is the least fun character to play with in the crossover since he doesn't have any new abilities and everyone else obviously provides a new experience.

When you get a flower power, it shoots out.

Yeah, it's pretty cool how he's made the power-ups work with the other characters. Getting a fire flower when you've selected Bill isn't remotely fair to the level though.

Bill just destroys everything in sight when he gets a fire flower.

Any cheats for this game?

Use Bill. That's pretty close to using a cheat code.

On the downside, I find some jumps are difficult to make with him.

Samus is good too, she has the higher jump, and the morph ball is useful too.

I find Samus and Bill both are good when fully mushroomed/flowered. I love how Bill can shoot all over the direction.

Already tried 1.1, he made some upgrades on other characters too.

So I noticed. Even though it's fun to use those other characters, I still reckon Mario is the best choice for the swimming levels.

Agree. He should be good in water, being a plumber.

Well, that and the fact his character is the only one with a swimming animation.

Since I'm not familiar with the other characters, I play with Bill. Really easy to get to the last stage with him.
