When you're defending, hold R1 (for PS3), and that should help you stay in front of your man.
By the way, does anyone know how to get more steals on All-Star? When I did Pro it was easy because the CPU would dribble in place and I just went for the steals. But on All-Star, the CPU utilises Quickstrike moves and they just can't keep still. I've bumped my steal and interception sliders, but I still only get around 3-5 steals a game.

Double teaming can give you more steals. Select a player on the opposite side of the court then the ball handler is on. Tap the B button(same button that controls pick and rolls on offense) while on defense and your teammate should step over to double the ballhandler. Once he is doubled, move the player you selected to the player who is now open for the pass. Try to bait the cpu into making the pass, give it a slight opening in the passing lane, wait for the passing animation to start and move into the pass lane and press the steal button. You can also get the cpu to step out of bounds if you double them near the sideline or baseline.

on defense it's a rock paper scissor game. If you guess the right way with LS when offensive guy makes a move, you increase your chance of a strip or steal. Ratings are factored into the dice roll as well

time Steal or Block when ball handler makes his move or shot to strip or block

also if you're controlling an offball defender, double from the blind side and time your Steal button as you come in. Sometimes you can pop the ball out that way.

Also, if you turned down the CPU sliders for steals and interceptions, your teammates might not get any since I think some of the cpu sliders affect your cpu controlled teammates.

I was playing a regular season game Rockets vs Pacers when CPU went nuts in the 2nd quarter.
Im on offence, get the ball to kevin martin and try to break through. Then I get hacked and ref doesn't call a foul. We go the other way. TJ Ford gets a ball and makes a CONTESTED fade away three point shot! yes you read it right. TJ FORD not Kobe or Durant but TJ FORD. So im on offence and get the ball to Scola who gets double teamed. I pass the ball out to Aaron Brooks who has a wide open three. MISS. We go the other way and TJ FORD makes the same contested fade away three. WTF!? Then I go to offence, get the ball to Brooks and try to break through. I get hacked again and NO CALL. We go the other way and Danny Granger attack the rim. Gets hacked, makes the shot and foul is called.

Yeah, that stuff is particularly prominent post-patch unfortunately. Hoping that gets stamped out in NBA Elite 11.

Unfortunately, you can't develop outside shooting in the Academy. You should be able to but none of the drills actually affect it. Long story short, Dynasty was an afterthought this year and is in desperate need of an upgrade/overhaul.

Will there be any more DNA updates now that the season is over?

None are guaranteed, but given they continued for NBA Live 09 when 09's updates were only advertised for the 2008/2009 season I'd say it's possible. If the updates continue I'd suggest there won't be any additional maintenance to them as with the updates for NBA Elite 11.

As I'm sure most people are, I'm updating a roster with all the free agent movements.
Only problem is that if I start a Dynasty the same players will still have their contracts expire at the end of the first season.

Is there any way to edit the length of their contracts?

Unfortunately not. Another downside of the console versions.

Is there a way to not get blocked by the CPU when attempting a lay-up on All-Star? Every time I get past the defense, and attempt either a lay-up or a dunk, the CPU blocks me with so much ease, even with the CPU lay-up/dunk block ability slider at 0. On the other side, I have a tough time doing the same to the CPU, and my lay-up/dunk block ability slider is all the way up. Is this happening to anyone?

Try reversing the slider, put cpu at 100, and user at 0. Maybe it's a bug.

No, but I'll try it today, and post the result here.

I'm inclined to think it's more a case of the CPU having an unfair advantage in the name of keeping the game challenging more than it's a bug with the sliders, but anything's worth a try. Interested to see what you find out.

If you win a championship or division title in Dynasty mode, does it add a banner in your arena?

Not as far as I'm aware.

Something else to add to the Elite 11 wish list

Probably not happening in Elite 11 - unless they've really added some extra details to Dynasty Mode - so assuming they don't, something for the Elite 12 list for sure.

If you're asking if we can update NBA Live 10 the same way we can update the PC versions of the game, no we can't.
