Hello guy´s!
I´ve downloaded the new editor available - NBA Live 2Kx Modify Master - and i´ve noticed that it doesn´t have a shooting range field like in older versions. It has, however, a scoring area fiel. Is this the same? If it is, wich scoring area is more suitable for each type of player?
There was a thread like this in NBA live 2003 but i don´t know if the scoring areas are the same... anyone knows?
Or does anyone knows how to change te shooting range of a player in other way? the in-game editor doesnt have the option to change it...

No, they are different fields. For more information, check out the DBF Editing Guides in the
NBA Live 2004 section.

You have to use access or excel or DBcommander to change Shooting Range. You cant edit it in live even. (for created players the shooting range is based on 3pt rating) 40 + gives 20 + shooting range.

If thats the case why do cpu generated rookies always have to be edited because they have a 3pt rating of 70 and a range of 16 ft or simular!

It's probably a mistake that needs to be fixed in future versions of Live. Mark's referring to players that are created by the user. Created players follow certain rules regarding hidden attributes, whereas some generated players may have more random attributes and ratings.
