Spoiler tag fail ^

Just watched Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans. Expected it to be shit, but it was actually pretty entertainment. Best thing Nicolas Cage has been in since the Weatherman.

I thought The Informant! was outstanding, Matt Damon was brilliant as usual, and the ending sorta blurs the line between comedy and drama a little bit, which was a nice touch.

The Men Who Stare At Goats was pretty good too, as quirky as expected, but I was hoping it'd be a little funnier considering the amazing cast.

Yes Man and Terminator: Salvation.

Yes Man has its moments, but it wasnt great. Then again much worse things in this world than 1.5 hours of zooey deschanel

Terminator: Salvation im in the middle of. Im bored. Hence posting. Not a good sign for an action flick.

Watched Traitor last night and it was really interesting. It was good how it showed you the other side of terrorism.

Kentucky Fried Movie.

Was disappointed to say the least considering the next thing they did was Airplane!, only the greatest comedy of all time.

Nice tits though.

Disappointed? That's Samuel L. Bronkowitz' greatest work!

Black Dynamite might be the greatest spoof ever. Well, it was somewhat of a semi-spoof because they did want to make a homage to the 70's Black pimp and badass types of movies, but it was obviously done not too seriously. Completely absurd fights and dialogs kept me lol'ing during the entire movie.

Finished a lab report the other night and didn't feel like sleeping just yet so was flipping around channels until came upon HBO which was showing The Dreamcatcher. Never had much interest for it when it first came out but I figured I give it a shot. Was a really weird movie... Granted it may been cause it was late but still the movie ended and I was like :|

Watched Where the Wild Things Are

Man they missed the fucking point

I kept expecting the wild thing voiced by tony soprano to say "hey pussy, whack the little shit. Bada bing"

The cgi and scenery was awesome...but everything else was terrible.

I kinda liked it, it was a cute flick. Then again, I'm not familiar at all with the original work, so I'm not sure what the point should be...

the original work is 18 pictures and about 300 words. It is a very simple story about the power of imagination and how it can take you places.

This bullshit they pulled making max from a broken home and giving all the wild things names and making them angsty was terrible. It wasnt Where the Wild Things are. It was a drama with the skin of Wild Things tacked on.

Precious. Wow, what a great movie. Mo'Nique definitely deserved that Oscar for playing a batshit insane fucked up character. Great acting all around.

Been on a movie binge lately...

Max Payne, why the hell did I just watch this. If they cut the crap of what people see while being high the film would be decent enough, but it just made the film confusing and terrible because there's no point to what the hell that means when they're on drugs.
Good thing Hancock followed. Enjoyable and not because it was preceded by a crappy film.

The Hangover, I didn't get why people are praising this like crazy for being really funny. It has laugh out parts but not the entirety of the movie itself, which I expect considering the praises the movie received.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Eh, decent because of the robot fighting. Since when did Optimus become a combination of John McClane (Die Hard) and John Rambo? They followed the Baywatch formula for Megan Fox while running. Jetfire was pretty enjoyable.

Terminator Salvation, it's an action flick for all it's worth despite having Bale in it, but the action falls flat with the exception of the robot fighting. Robots rule.

Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Might as well watch it since I saw the first two. Not bad but not Up good either.

Taken. Just had to see it again for the kickassery.

I Love You, Man. Not bad and I'll place it alongside the overhyped The Hangover.

Hachiko - A Dog's Story. Premise is the dog's loyalty to his master, based on a true story. It's intended to be a tearjerker of a film. Great movie especially if you're a (former) dog owner. I think even Michael Vick would feel something after he watched this.

Sherlock Holmes, early in the film I thought it would be like Batman set in the 19th century because of the action and Holmes skills but I realized it's basically a buddy cop movie. Still excellent. I like how Downey portrayed Holmes as a bit of obsessive-compulsive that made the character great with his observations. I wonder if Downey thought of that idea or it was dictated by the script. Great watch.

I still have to watch Ravenous next, and about 53 more movies or an estimated 80 hours, damn that's a massive backlog. After I finish all those I might be going through this thread to see any more movies that I may have missed.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

Man did that suck. I was pleasantly surprised by the first one, but this one was just bad.
