Out of the 10 times I try it, Yao blocks me 9 times out of 10... so every time I get a dunk on him, it has to be captured

I agree wholeheartedly, NBA Live 11 needs to tone it down and make better decisions as to when to trade star players between CPU controlled teams. A setting that controls trade frequency would be even better.
I agree as well, but one thing I'm happy with is that Lebron, D-Wade, Brandon Roy, Kobe and guys like that are still with their respective real life teams. While a lot of trades have been made, guys like Kevin Durant and Amare Stoudemire have left their teams in pursuit for bigger contracts... which tends to happen in real life I suppose. In saying that, it's highly unrealistic that OKC would not retain Durant, Westbrook and Green, since none of them are busts and the purpose of high draft picks is to help you rebuild your team.

5 Game Summary
Denver are the best in the league.
After two championships, one record that wasn't achieved by Denver was the top seed. This year they have achieved it with 2 games left in the season.
Despite a loss to Orlando, an overtime win against Washington and a close win against the Golden State Warriors saw the Nuggets claim an insurmountable lead in not only the West, but the league. With two games to go, Denver decided to rest their starters. While Phoenix were comprehensive in their win against the Nuggets, the game against the depleted Lakers was a different story:
Denver's reserves belt under-strength Lakers
The Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 77-62. Denver rested all their starters, but with Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum out, the Lakers lacked a true centre and ended up playing Ron Artest there. Ray Allen proved he can still have streaky nights, scoring a game high 23 points. The night belonged to Denver's Power Forward JJ Hickson. In a truly dominant display, he had 22 points and 16 boards, with a block and a steal for good measure. Shaquille O'Neal also made the most of an overwhelming size avantage with 12 points and 9 boards.
For the Lakers, Kobe Bryant scored 22, while Lamar Odom had a good night with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Sasha Vujacic also scored 11 points and dished off 6 assists.

Season 4 Review
Player-by-player
I thought it'd be a nice idea to review how each of my players played during the season:
Starters
Chris Andersen: The man was a defensive machine. However he also had an offensive game during a few games of the season. Without doubt the favourite for the Defensive Player of the Year. He in many senses has been the team's MVP (but don't tell Melo that). He was the sole Denver representation in the All-Star game.
Ty Maximilian: He has had a solid year. While he was the key factor for Denver in last year's playoffs, he has settled into more of a hussle role this year. In a team that arguably has the most depth in the league, he has managed to hold down the starting Power Forward spot, which is nothing to be sneezed at.
Carmelo Anthony: He had a slow start to the season, but like every champion does, he came good at the end. He scored 2 consecutive West Player of the Month awards despite being snubbed by All-Star selection.
Shannon Brown: Shannon has come up with some huge games, but consistancy still remains to be the issue with this talented guard. With his contract expiring this coming off-season, his future with the team could very well be hinged on this coming playoff series.
Chauncey Billups: Despite a couple of big games, his offensive game has fallen off the radar. However, he is still a great leader within the team and creates shots for his team-mates.
Bench
Taylor MacKenzie: Taylor's season has been inconsistant as well... but he's achieved 3 West Rookie of the Month awards and a Rookie Challenge MVP as well as the scoring record in the game. Anyone with that on their resume is a front runner for the Rookie of the Year.
Andrei Kirilenko: For what Denver gave up for this trade, Kirilenko was a nice acquisition. While as a shooter he's not the greatest, every other possible aspect of the game he does a pretty good job of. His presense off the bench bolsters Denver's defense.
Shaquille O'Neal: While there have occassionally been signs that the Big Diesel has slowed down, it has been a great year for Shaq in his new role. As a 40 year old, he came to Denver mid-season, played his first game of the year and registered a double-double. He may not be the force he was back in the late 90s/early 2000s, but his presense is still felt by the opposing defense.
Smush Parker: This was an interesting acquisition. He seemed to come on the scene with a bang and exploited opposing teams' defenses on the pick and roll (particularly Utah), but his play fell away a bit towards the end. He fought his way up the rotation to be the primary backup to Billups, but his future with the club is still not set in stone. However, his presense is enough to make Chalmers sweat a bit about his future with Denver.
Mario Chalmers: Mario had quite a mediocre year. He found himself getting DNPs after Smush Parker was starring. His title as the successor of Chauncey Billups could well be in jeopardy this off-season.
JJ Hickson: JJ was a victim of circumstance this year. He played really well and put up some good numbers, but as soon as the Kirilenko trade went through, his playing time decreased. In the time he got though, he managed to impress.
Grant Hill: Grant's role was very limited. Apart from that starring game against Dallas, he saw very little game time as Melo's backup.
IR
Ray Allen: Ray's demotion to the inactive list was mainly because of the emergence of Taylor MacKenzie. In the games he played, he managed to have a few shining moments, like scoring 42 against the Nets.
Matt Bonner: Once Bonner's 3 point shot fell away, so did his playing time. This year was a big fall from grace for the former 6th man award recipient.
Arron Afflalo: Arron's games played didn't reach double figures this year. With his contract expiring, he might want to consider a new team.

The Awards
Karl honoured, T-Mac picks up double
Long serving Denver coach George Karl has picked up the top coaching honour with his 70 percent winning record. With the two previous championships under his belt, this award seems like a mere formality.
Rookie Taylor MacKenzie not only picked up the top rookie prize, but he was also judged as the 6th man of the year. In 4 years of this dynasty, he's the 3rd Denver player to pick up the award.
Individual Awards
MVP (previous winner: Dwyane Wade): Lebron James - While Melo has been getting it done in the playoffs, the other 82 games belong to Lebron James. This is the 3rd time he's picked up the honour and no one deserves it more than him.
Most Improved Player (previous winner: Randy Foye): Stephen Curry - After his move to Phoenix, Stephen Curry has not only enjoyed starting minutes, but he has also been a key factor to the Suns reaching the playoffs. You know you have to be good if Steve Nash is playing behind you.
Defensive Player of the Year (previous winner: Dwight Howard): Amare Stoudemire - Well, here's the boil-over! Amare wins the award over the Birdman despite having inferior rebounds and blocks per game averages... however he does average more steals per game. He's been a great defender this year, but better than Chris Andersen?
Rookie of the Year (previous winner: Ollie Rose): Taylor MacKenzie - Ever since he hit that game winning shot on debut, he has had the ROY label the whole year. After winning the Rookie Challenge MVP for his record breaking performance, it became clearer that he was destined for the trophy.
6th Man (previous winner: Brandon Jennings): Taylor MacKenzie - He won the ROY from the bench, so of course he would be a contender for this trophy... but no one suspected he would win this honour. It caps off a memorable year for the British rookie.
Coach of the Year: (previous winner: Phil Jackson): George Karl - With his health battles, it's just amazing that he's still alive. He personifies strength of character and it rubs off on his star studded team.

Chris Andersen has capped off a career season by being selected on both the All NBA First team and the All Defensive First team. He could also count himself as unlucky not to have gotten his second Defensive Player of the Year... but I shall move on.

I really think that Hickson would be very effective as a starter for you guys, even if you give him limited minutes. It would probably be too late to try though, especially with the playoffs just around the corner.

Hickson is a very effective player and I'm glad I have him signed up for next season. It's just a matter of juggling time between him, Ty and AK-47. Kirilenko probably have a better offensive game most of the time, so the minutes generally favour him... and Ty is my starter.

Stanley Alston is basically OKC's franchise player. He was the first overall pick and came second in the ROY in Maximilian's draft class. He's a skillful shooting guard who handles the ball, has great range and can dunk on anyone. His weakness is in his free throws... but even that has improved from what I've experienced with him.
And as for your top comment, I want to make it known that what I wrote about George Karl was completely out of respect for the guy and I didn't intend it to be funny. Perhaps I worded it wrong...

I knew about Ben Gordon, but I didn't have a definitive answer on the ROY/Sixth man double. I figured I could look it all up or just wait for you to respond... I'm lazy that way

Overview
These two teams met in the second round last year, where Denver swept the series 4-0. However, throughout this season, Sacramento have troubled the Nuggets at times and have a reputation as a giant killing team, eliminating last year's top seed the Lakers in 4 games. Either way, Denver shouldn't take the Kings team lightly.
Keys
Denver: Carmelo Anthony and Chris Andersen were the two best players for Denver in the regular season. Melo is the reigning Finals MVP, so his play could potentially lift the Denver Nuggets to the next round. If he doesn't turn up, they could be in for a shock first round exit. As for the Birdman, he will be up against rising star Brook Lopez, who has been known to dominate against the Nuggets. He will not only need to keep him at bay, but also maintain the defensive play that should have won him the DPOY.
Sacramento: Kevin Martin without a doubt will be a priority for Denver on defense. Martin has the ability to have huge nights and is the most important player on the Kings' lineup. As mentioned before, Brook Lopez will also be a key player. He has the ability to come up with Birdman-like stats on the defensive end and can be a nightmare on the offensive glass.
X-Factors
Denver: Ty Maxilian comes to mind in this category. He hasn't had the starring role in the regular season, but last year, he was an incredibly rich-man's version of Robert Horry. He came up absolutely huge in the games that mattered and the Sacramento Kings won't be quick to forget what he did to them. Denver also have the current ROY Taylor MacKenzie. While consistancy is stopping him from being one of the elite players in the NBA, this also makes him dangerous. He can sneak under the radar and before you know it, he's scored 30 points on you. It's something Sacramento will have to keep an eye on.

Game 1: Denver roll past Kings
Denver had a huge 4th quarter to defeat the Kings 85-72. The game was all tied up at the end of the third at 54-54, but Melo and Shannon came to the party. They ended up with 28 and 18 respectively. Chris Andersen was the performer of the game, picking up 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Ty Maximilian scored 10 points and dished off 4 dimes.
For Sacramento, Brook Lopex was their best player with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Beno Udrih was the high point man with 20 points, along with 9 assists to be just shy of his double-double. Kevin Martin had 19, while John Salmons chipped in with 11.
It was a promising start to Denver's series, with Melo and the Birdman both firing in this first game.

The Sacramento Kings have pulled off a massive upset by downing the Denver Nuggets 82-74. Kevin Martin and Beno Udrih both had massive scoring nights with 22 and 21 respectively. Udrih once again narrowly missed out on a double-double with 9 assists. John Salmons had 13, while Brook Lopez was the Performer of the Game. He had an incredible night with 16 points, 19 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. He absolutely killed Denver on the offensive glass.
For the Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony (25) and Shannon Brown (21) both got 20+ points. However, there wasn't much help from the rest of their team, with Ty Maximilian the next highest scorer with 7. Chris Andersen once again had a strong game, leading his team in rebounds (10) and assists (7).
This game could serve as a good wakeup call for Denver, who are the overwhelming favourites in this series.

Despite a massive game by Carmelo Anthony, the Sacramento Kings have taken a 2-1 series lead with a 94-80 win over Denver. Anthony scored 48 on the night to lead all scorers, but once again, he had little help with Shannon Brown (13) the only other double figure scorer. The Kings however had a nicely distributed scoring performance, with all 5 starters getting double figures.
Kevin Martin led the way with 23 points to go with his 12 rebounds. Beno Udrih had 19, while Garcia and Salmons both recorded 14 each. The Performer of the Game though was once again Brook Lopez. He is creating nightmares for Denver on the offensive glass. He ended up with 17 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks.
The Nuggets might have to make a serious adjustment to control Brook Lopez in the next game, otherwise they risk going down 3-1.

It took a starting lineup change, but Denver managed to blow-out the Kings in game 4. The final score was 97-83. Shaquille O'Neal started at centre, while Chris Andersen was shifted to power forward. This created a lethal combination as Shaq had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while the Birdman came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. With his new role on the bench, Ty Maximilian was the top scorer of the game with 30 points, while Melo had a quieter night with 13.
For the Kings, Kevin Martin had a big night with 28 points, while Udrih (17), Garcia (16) and Lopez all registered double figures. The story of the game however was how Brook Lopez was restricted by the Big Diesel. He only managed to get 6 boards in the whole game.

I lost to the Kings once or twice int he regular season, so I wasn't expecting a walk in the park (although on paper, it would suggest that). Brook Lopez is almost as bad as Yao Ming in this game. That along with Beno Udrih being Steve Nash 2.0 (in game), they're a tougher team in game than they would be in real life. Kevin Martin is of course Kevin Martin... I don't take offense to him torching me

Game 5: Denver win close game to take series advantage
Denver have managed to win a close encounter against the Kings, despite another dominant night by Brook Lopez. The score ended up being 95-93. Brook Lopez was the performer of the game with 14 points and 20 rebounds. He caused headaches for Denver once again on the offensive glass. Despite this, Denver came away with a victory thanks to big scoring nights from Carmelo Anthony (28) and Taylor MacKenzie (18). Even though Lopez was dominant, both Chris Andersen and Shaq had solid nights, picking up 11 rebounds each. Andersen scored 16, while O'Neal had 14.
Kevin Martin was able to help keep it close for the Kings, scoring 24 points. Beno Udrih continued on his impressive form with 19 points and 8 assists, while Garcia (15) and Salmons (11) also contributed double figure scores.
Denver now have two chances to claim the series win.

[Out of frustration, I exited out of this game without getting a picture... sorry]
Sacramento have put fear in the eyes of the top seed once again, this time they beat Denver in game 6 by 88-81 to force the series to a 7th deciding game. Beno Udrih was the Sprite Performer of the Game with 19 points, 9 assists and 2 steals. He continues on his stellar form against the Denver Nuggets. Francisco Garcia was the high point man with 26. Brook Lopez had another outstanding game with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
For Denver, Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points. Chris Andersen had another double-double performance with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Taylor MacKenzie (15) and Ty Maximilian (14) round out the double digit scorers.
The deciding game will be in Denver.

Game 7: Birdman flies Denver to great escape
Thanks to a truly inspired performance by Chris Andersen, Denver managed to win the series in the deciding game, defeating the Kings 98-89. In a game that came down to sinking free throws, the Birdman truly set up the win, not only by posting outstanding numbers, but by restricting Brook Lopez to 8 points. Andersen himself had 16 points, 24 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. This outstanding defense allowed the Denver scorers to shine, with 3 players scoring 20+ points. Carmelo Anthony led that group with 26. Taylor MacKenzie contributed 22, while Ty Maximilian's big game was overshadowed as he picked up 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Don't let the score fool you though, it only really got out to 9 points thanks to free throws made by Denver and clutch shots missed by Sacramento. Up till then, the Kings had a pretty good night. Kevin Martin scored 26 and Beno Udrih had 22. Salmons was the distributer of the night with 7 assists to go with his 12 points, while Garcia had 11.
Denver will now face Portland, who won their series against Phoenix 4-1.

Sacramento have put fear in the eyes of the top seed once again, this time they beat Denver in game 6 by 88-81 to force the series to a 7th deciding game. Beno Udrih was the Sprite Performer of the Game with 19 points, 9 assists and 2 steals. He continues on his stellar form against the Denver Nuggets. Francisco Garcia was the high point man with 26. Brook Lopez had another outstanding game with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
For Denver, Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points. Chris Andersen had another double-double performance with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Taylor MacKenzie (15) and Ty Maximilian (14) round out the double digit scorers.
The deciding game will be in Denver.

Game 7: Birdman flies Denver to great escape
Thanks to a truly inspired performance by Chris Andersen, Denver managed to win the series in the deciding game, defeating the Kings 98-89. In a game that came down to sinking free throws, the Birdman truly set up the win, not only by posting outstanding numbers, but by restricting Brook Lopez to 8 points. Andersen himself had 16 points, 24 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. This outstanding defense allowed the Denver scorers to shine, with 3 players scoring 20+ points. Carmelo Anthony led that group with 26. Taylor MacKenzie contributed 22, while Ty Maximilian's big game was overshadowed as he picked up 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Don't let the score fool you though, it only really got out to 9 points thanks to free throws made by Denver and clutch shots missed by Sacramento. Up till then, the Kings had a pretty good night. Kevin Martin scored 26 and Beno Udrih had 22. Salmons was the distributer of the night with 7 assists to go with his 12 points, while Garcia had 11.
Denver will now face Portland, who won their series against Phoenix 4-1.

Very nice effort from Birdman, weird it took 7 games against these Kings. Portland will be a tough challenge.

The players who tend to dominate games against me are becoming even more random as I get further into my dynasty. But yes, with the lineup the Kings have on paper, it's hard to see them taking my team past 4 games.
Portland is always tricky, so hopefully I'm on my game
