that Nets lineup... not bad; i'm actually thinking if their guys step up, they might actually give you some trouble; if you let it get outta hand you might be in for a long series, but should eventually come out on top... either way they'll be good 'warm up' for the later rounds

Rooting for a Chicago upset against Miami :headbang:

I was thinking for the Nets, they would be better if Brook Lopez started at the 4 and Yi shifted to the 3.

Wow. An offensive career renaissance for Camby. Deserved an all-star bid. Good luck, but I think you got this. (Y)

Thanks. Yeah, they even rule on some level, even with their current line-up.

Yeah, one of the front-runners for DPOY. But Bogut's better.

Yeah, Redd will need to bring his A-game. A couple of 40-point explosions would be nice.

Sit wrote:Pacers will make the NBA Finals.

Nah, the Eastern Conference Finals would be the top. Jennings and Co would stop them.

Yeah, their bench is very deep and in the game Harpring and Camby can still throw down. It will definitely be tough.

Yeah, Lopez averaged like 20-10 last season and then they signed Camby, who's like 1 overall better or smtg. I'd bench Yi and start Terrence Williams at the 3.

Well he wasn't an All-Star, Bogut beat him out as the reserve.

Jennings' big night gives Bucks 1-0 lead.
Bucks (109) - Nets (99)

    Image
Jennings capping off and amazing Playoff-debut with a big slam.

Both teams struggled to shoot in the Playoff-opener and Brandon Jennings took over, finishing with 39 points, 8 steals and a bunch of other goodies to carry the Bucks over the Nets in game #1.

Michael Redd was also a big part of the win, flirting with a triple-double. The Bucks back-court was very explosive, combining for 58 points, 15 rebounds, 15 assists and 12 steals. The game was pretty much the battle of the back-courts, the Nets counterparts combined for 44.

Both teams started slow and came out empty, shooting under 40% through the first three quarters. Thing didn't shape up in the fourth, neither team scored for the first 2 minutes. And it wasn't for tough defense, teams were missing easy lay-ups. Hakim Warrick and Andew Bogut struggled a lot. They just shot 9-29, mostly from the paint. A lot of the shots were altered by veteran Marcus Camby and reserve Brook Lopez.

Brandon Jennings took over. Driving to the basket, shooting mid-range jumpers and floaters at will. He scored 14 of the Bucks' 21 points in the fourth quarter and scored the go-ahead basket with 14 seconds to go.

The Nets would set up the offense and call a play, but the ball was deflected out of bounds, leaving 9 seconds for the Nets. Courtney Lee, who was the leader for the Nets all night, drove to the basket and made a short jumper with 1.8 left.

Scott Skiles called a time-out and with not much time left, he went to his star of the night Brandon Jennings. He would shoot a hesitation three-pointer, but it bounced off the rim. Overtime.

In the Overtime, Brandon Jennings quickly took over, out-scoring the Nets 8-0 on his own. But the Nets would rally back and get as close as 2 points. But then, Kyle Korver hit a three and Thaddeus Young scored on a lay-up. The lead was 11 and there was 50 seconds on the clock the Nets had pretty much lost. But they ran a play and Courtney Lee was ready to receive the pas from Devin Harris.

But Brandon Jennings jumped out and stole the ball, his 8th steal of the night and went on to throw down a monster dunk in fast break. The Bradley Center's crowd was going nuts. They hadn't sat down for nearly half an hour as they celebrated the Bucks triumph.

Brandon Jennings was the subbed out and he received a standing ovation.

NOTES : Bucks won the rebounding 51-43; Brook Lopez had just 3 points; Bucks shot 4-15 from three, the Nets were 5-10; The Bucks had 15 steals.

Young to miss up to three weeks.

Thaddeus Young has been diagnosed with a severe ankle sprain following the Bucks game #1 victory over the Nets, the Bucks medical staff reports.

Young finished with 4 points and 9 rebounds and finished the game on the court, but after the game was diagnosed by team doctors. The injury will sideline him for 2-3 weeks, making him possibly unavailable until the end of the second round of the Playoffs.

Young was acquired in a mid-season trade which sent Wilson Chandler and Roko Ukic to the Sixers in exchange for Thaddeus Young and Kwasi Mobley.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is set to start in Young's place, leaving one of game #1 heroes Kyle Korver with his 6th man role.

Camby's double-double helps Nets tie the series.
Bucks (97) - Nets (102)

    Image
Bogut had all of his 4 blocks in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough.

Marcus Camby posted a double-double and Devin Harris had 24 points to help the New Jersey Nets tie the First Round series against the Bucks.

Brandon Jennings had 23 points and Andrew Bogut had 20 to lead a Bucks come-back, but the Nets made all of their final 8 free throws. Kyle Korver scored 15 points, with 3 three-pointers, all of which came from the fourth quarter.

The Nets started better and maintained the lead through three quarters, being up by as many as 16, but thanks to some buckets by Eddie House and Andray Blatche, they managed to trim the deficit to 9 points.

Led by Jennings, the Bucks managed to tie the game with 2 minutes left. Andrew Bogut emphatically blocked Marcus Camby on the next possession and the Bucks had a chance to take the lead for the first time.

But Michael Redd missed a three-pointer on the next possession and Matt Harpring, of all people, drove to the basket for a monster dunk.

The Bucks never really recovered from it. They went on to miss their next 3 shots, while the Nets converted their opportunities and also they made all of their foul shots. The final buzzer sounded and the Bucks walked off the court disappointed. Dan Gadzuric followed after 10 minutes, after finishing tying his shoes.

NOTES : The Nets got to the foul line 34 times and converted 27, while the Bucks made 11 of 13; Both teams had 19 assists; Bucks shot .488, while the Nets .429;

Korver's historic performance leads Bucks to win in OT.
Bucks (124) - Nets (119)

    Image
Korver tied the game with 0.9 on the clock, his 5th 3-pointer of the fourth quarter.

Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut both fouled out in the fourth quarter, leaving Michael Redd and Kyle Korver in charge. Korver shot 5-5 from range in the fourth quarter, including the shot with 0.9 left to force OT.

Michael Redd had 8 points and 3 assists in OT, taking over the PG duties. He finished with 18 points and 8 assists, but struggled from range, going only 1-8. But Kyle Korver was a man on a mission, finishing the night with a career-high 36 points, going 8-8 from 3PT range.

The Nets were about to win the game, up by 4 with 7 seconds to go. This was thanks to big part from Matt Harpring, who had 13 points in the fourth, shooting nearly perfect from the field. But Kyle Korver hit a three off a time-out, trimming the lead to 1. The Bucks quickly fouled Devin Harris.

The Nets were very solid from the line, shooting 27-28 for the game and Harris had the only miss. But he didn't miss and but the Nets up by 3 with 4 seconds left.

Off a time-out, Scott Skiles knew he would go to Korver, who was 7-7 from range. Jennings had fouled out and Redd had struggled. The play worked to perfection and Korver tied the game. Marcus Camby shot a three, but couldn't get the shot off.

In OT, Michael Redd took over. He scored 8 points and found Kyle Korver, Luc Mbah a Moute and Andray Blatche for open shots/lay-ups. Korver knew hw was perfect from range, and didn't attempt any threes in OT. He was subbed out with 20 seconds to go and he could hear the Bucks fans in the Prudential Center.

Andrew Bogut earned POTG honors, as he racked up 17 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 blocks before fouling out.
