[Wizards] WTF: D*mn TROJAN!!!

Thu Apr 01, 2010 8:31 pm

SAD TO SAY.. THE COMPUTER THAT I'M USING WHERE MY DYNASTY IS SAVED HAS BEEN REFORMATTED. IT WAS INFECTED BY TROJAN VIRUS (THE ONE WHO WILL APPEAR ONCE, BUT AFTER 5 MINUTES THEY ARE 5 ALREADY, THEN AFTER 5 MINUTES AGAIN THEY ARE ALREADY 20). I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO REFORMAT IT. I WANT TO PLAY AGAIN, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHEN TO START. SORRY TO ALL THOSE WHO VIEWING THIS DYNASTY. IT'S MY SECOND TIME, YET I FAILED AGAIN.

Image

After reading some of the the dynasties here, I decided to remake my previous dynasty. I still choose the Wizards (without Arenas and Crittenton). The 82 games on the dynasty on live 08 cannot be changed, so I will just simulate the 72 games (with boxscore for you to look for). Then I'll play 10 games which I'll make a recap. The 10 teams will be voted by you so i hope that some of you (if not all) will participate. :)

Sorry If I didn't finish the first dynasty. I just got excited on the things that I have learned (dbf editing, etc) which for me is a good achievement. :D

This time I'll do my best to finish this dynasty. I hope I will have a follower.

Are you sure that you made that banner? I used a very similar one for my dynasty back then, which i did not made, but it's extremely similar. (not accusing you, just asking)

This used to be my banner:

The only part different is the text.

Wizards Control Second Quarter In Preseason Opener
September 14, 2007

Image
Zach Randolph had 25 points, but still not enough to carry the Grizzlies.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Washington Wizards came to Verizon Center with the hopes of starting their season off with a strong camp without Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison, Caron Butler and Javaris Crittenton, and a win against the Memphis Grizzlies to finish the week. After high intense practices to start the camp, the Wizards closed the week with a win, controlling the second quarter and beating the Grizzlies at the Verizon Center, 80-66.

Entering the game, the talk centered on the Wizards' season without their Superstar Gilbert Arenas and back-up Javaris Crittenton who suspended for bringing guns into the locker room.

"Both players violated D.C. laws and NBA rules by bringing guns into the locker room." said Wizards coach Flip Saunders.

The talk was then shifted to the departure of Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler, who was traded to Cleveland and Dalls, respectively.

"Antawn Jamison has been the embodiment of leadership on and off the court for this franchise for five-and-a-half seasons. Caron made significant contributions to this franchise and this community, but we felt this opportunity was too good to pass up. We thank them for all they've done for the Wizards and the city of Washington." said Saunders. "Unfortunately, our on-court results have not met the Wizards organization's expectations and we felt it was necessary to make changes to improve our future and our financial flexibility. This trade accomplished both of those objectives."

JaVale Mcgee, Andray Blatche, Josh Howard, Mike Miller and Randy Foye were the starting line-ups for the Wizards. While Mike Conley, OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph and Mark Gasol started for the Grizzlies.

Wizards were leading after the first quarter, 19-14. McGee had already 4 rebounds tied with the total rebounds of the Grizzlies in that quarter. Wizards' tight defense and fast paced offense killed the Grizzlies in the second quarter. After tying at 19-all, the Wizards immidiately made a 10-0 run that made them ahead at 29-19 with 2:50 at the clock. The Grizzlies didn't close the gap making them trailing by 13, 39-23 at the end of the 1st half.

"Some of my guys we're lazy on the second quarter." said Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins at the post-game interview. "We will have a long ass day on practice."

When asked about the scene where he was shouting at Sam Young. "Oh.. Sam needs a lot of improvement." he said. "He must learn how to defend."

At the third quarter, Zach Randolph carried the Grizzlies with his 12 points. But the balanced attack of the Wizards keep them leading. At the end of the quarter, the Wizards is still ahead by 17 points 62-45. The Wizards controlled the game until the end of the game.

The Wizards will return to their home arena on Friday night when they host the Dallas Mavericks at 7:00 p.m.

JUST SO YOU KNOW:
-Mike Miller played for Memphis Grizzlies from 2003-2008. The only Grizzlies that have been teammate with Miller was Rudy Gay.

NOTES:
- Wizards outscored the Grizzlies at the second half, 20-9.
- Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins was seen shouting at Sam Young at the end of the game.
- Wizards was 63% on the field against 49% of Grizzlies

Nowitzki struggles as the Mavs falls to Wizards
September 17, 2007

Image
Shaun Livingston carried again the Wizards with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Dirk Nowitzki had a bad night, scoring only 12 points on a 5 of 14 shooting as the Dallas Mavericks falls to Washington Wizards 69-58 on Friday at the Verizon Center. Shaun Livingston was again named player of the game, led the team with 16 points on 7 of 16 shooting. Caron Butler finished with 24 points for the Mavericks.

Flip Saunders shuffled they're starting line-ups a little bit. Putting Boykins and Livingston as the starting backcourt together with Howard, Blatche and McGee. Kidd, Butler, Marion, Nowitzki and Dampier started for the Mavericks.

The Wizards started off strong late in the quarter and took a 18-12 lead after one quarter of play.

Mavericks played tight defense on the second quarter that made the Wizards struggled to score, causing the Mavs to tie the ball game at 26-all with 2:15 remaining. The Wizards and Mavericks remained tight throughout the quarter, both shooting 48% on the whole 1st half with the Wizards ahead by one 32-31 at the half.

Leading by one entering the third, Flip Saunders gave his bench a playing time to show their stuff. Putting Livingston, Nick Young, Singleton, Oberto and McGee to start the 2nd half. The Mavericks just can't match the running game of the Wizards. After the basket of Butler, Nowitzki was the go-to-guy of the Mavericks in the third. Feeding him the ball every possesion. But Nowitzki struggled to make a basket, missing 3 consecutive baskets that gaves the Wizards a 10-0 run for 42-33 lead with 3:47 on the clock. The wizards then controlled the quarter and leading by ten after the third, 52-42. The Wizards never look back and sealed home the victory.

The Wizards will try to keep their winning track on Wednesday when they take on the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.

NOTES:
- Josh Howard, James Singleton and Quinton Ross faced they former team for the first time. So as Caron Butler, DeShawn Stevenson and Brendan Haywood who now plays for the Mavericks.
- Dirk Nowitzki was only 36% on the field with 5 out of 14 shooting.
