Help! Game crashes when I sign/release players!

I was wondering if this is a custom art problem. I've got it turned on '1' if that helps any.

In my season, the game crashes everytime I try to sign a free agent, release a player, or try and change the starting lineups for each game.

It's also crashed a few times right after I've played a season game. This is very frusturating.

I've tried rein-stalling the game a couple of times, but it keeps doing it.

I use a lot of patches, so maybe that's my problem.

Does anybody know why this is happening?
