Yeah, that was the dark times when they constantly being cancelled, so they wrote up Lucky and Luanne's relationship to build into the "season finale" of their wedding. There's basically like two seasons from that time that were combinations of like six separate production orders of five or six episodes.

But then they got uncanceled and got full season orders, so they could go back to mining the comedy and characters we loved. Last two seasons are almost as good as the best seasons. And one of the few great series finales out there.

Golf clubs in hands or not, the kids of “South Park” are ready to take on Tiger Woods.

No subject is sacred for creators of the Comedy Central cartoon. So for the opening of its 14th season on Wednesday, the troubled golfer encounters Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in their animated Colorado town.

Matt Stone, who makes the series with partner Trey Parker, says it’s such a juicy topic they could have made a Tiger-centric season.

The episode was pretty funny. I would have liked to see more Tiger though, he played a minimal role.

Yeah, I thought it was a great start to the new season. You could pretty much pick where they were going a couple of minutes in but they still made it work. Butters was hilarious throughout, pretty much line he had was gold and the Tiger Woods 11 jokes were fun too. Sometimes they overdo it on the conspiracy episodes but this time it definitely clicked.

the 1st half was fantastic. I was cracking up. From butters trying to trim the bush at the funeral, to who showed up in the sex addiction class wish they had brought attention to the fact jordan was in there, at least they acknowledged it by drawing him in

I would buy that video game.

Jordan's appearance was kind of strange, given that his affairs were fairly low key given how big a star he was/is and I don't think he's ever been accused of having a sex addiction. I had a feeling Charlie Sheen and David Duchovny would be featured though and I wasn't disappointed.

I liked it but I thought it got a little weak after the first half. They just went a little too far into absurdity after a while. It started out great though.

Well roethlisberger while publicized hasnt really been convicted of anything officially but they still made him a major part. I personally think [spoiler]Jordan[spoiler] taught Tiger the way of the party so

I guess so. In any case, it's a shame he didn't have any dialogue.

Maybe that's the reason? ;) Or perhaps Matt and Trey didn't want to disrespect the Legend any further.

As for the show, Kenny's death was hilarious, but other than that, it was alright. Not their best.

I thought it was pretty mediocre at best. Predictable and unoriginal celebrity jokes, an overused running gag that lost its impact way too soon and a decent enough story/satirical point/social commentary wasted on a ho-hum episode. That's a critique I'd usually level at Family Guy, not South Park, but for people who really hate the show Matt and Trey produced a pretty accurate impression of a Family Guy episode. OK in parts but about halfway through I really soured on it.

Maybe im just partial to Catcher in the Rye. I will admit that there did seem to be an inordinate number of celeb jokes (morgan freeman/sarah jessica parker etc.) but i loved the boys not meaning shit and the book taking the literary world by storm. I was that guy in high school who asked why the pig killing in lord of the flies had to be rape and not just pig killing..so *shrug*

Absolutely, I like the idea and could completely relate to books being over-analysed in English class and whatnot, but the episode as a whole felt pretty ordinary to me. Good start, OK in parts but about halfway through I grew weary of how they were going about this week's message/commentary and as I said it reminded me of some of Family Guy's weaker offerings. Admittedly I probably would've enjoyed it more without the celebrity swipes, everyone seems to be using them as a crutch these days (and telling the same jokes about the same celebs to boot, so there's no originality or new spin) and for me it tends to bring the episode - no matter which show's doing it - screeching to a halt.

I really liked that episode actually, I thought it was hilarious from start to finish. I haven't read Catcher In The Rye myself but I thought it was used really well as a base for what was to come next. And Butters was just outstanding as usual. A classic South Park episode as far as I'm concerned.

Of all the words I'd use to describe that episode, classic wouldn't be amongst them but to each their own. I was disappointed but I suppose they can't all be winners for everybody.

Hopefully you like this episode better, it's a lot funnier than the last 2 episodes. "Luckaaaaaayyyy"

Also lots of references to a popular 80's movie. And of course it's a Randy episode so those are hilarious. Pandemic, last Randy-themed episode, was kind of a disappointment but this one was absolutely hilarious.

See I loved pandemic but i thought this one was just stupid. The writers had too many baggies with them on the retreat this year i think.

Not an overall bad episode, made me laugh a few times, but the KFC plotline was funnier to me than the Medical Marijuana plotline.

I agree, but I still really liked that episode overall. As ixcuincle wisely mentioned, Randy episodes are usually memorable, and this one was no exception IMO.

Hilarous episode in my opinion, and I think Randy's story was just as good as the KFC one. So many memorable quotes.

"Just gonna get a little bit of cancer, Stan ...tell mom it's okay"
"It's like a hoppity hop!"

Also can't forget the scrotum jacket.

Nope, didn't much care for this one either. I really didn't find it that funny, mainly because South Park has done so many episodes driven by Randy's stupidity that it's not that fresh and they've gone so far pushing the envelope before that they've set the bar too high for shock value laughs. Don't get me wrong, I don't find these episodes unwatchable but after really enjoying the season premiere the last two have been mediocre for me.
