Retro 2003-04 Suns Dynasty :: Summary of first two seasons

Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:12 am

So I've been playing for the past weeks that dynasty, and right before the start of my third season I found this website. Now, you all have to read a summary of these two seasons!

So the game is played using Live 2004, and un-updated rosters. Each season is 28 games long and the playoffs are best of 3.

The summary will mainly be in newspaper title format. The rest of it will be done in more details, but if you're a picture fan, don't expect much from me! I'm here for the story.

They did, but they did not go very far! Bet them in the playoffs!

In that season, Kobe only scored 19.6 per game, and TD got MVP with 24.8. Kobe is going downhill pretty quickly!

See, that's why I love long term dynasties: some really good players go down, scrubs go up and become All-Stars... That's where the fun really is!

@TheDee: I know eh? He did play out of his mind throughout the playoffs (23ppg, 12rpg, 4bpg, 70%FG), but it was still quite a surprise!

Very interesting! (Y) Well, Z was an All-Star in 2005 so putting up numbers isn't surprising, but that sort of numbers is amazing. Lebron sucks, so he has to. :D

Re: Retro 2003-04 Suns Dynasty :: Summary of first two seaso

Mon Mar 15, 2010 9:56 am

@Martti.: Yeah, definitely! Sadly, LeBron is really not up to par, and while it's the other way around IRL, in this dynasty this batch of rookies is incredibly weak!

Mon Mar 15, 2010 11:56 am

LeBron 12 ppg... That just can't happen, IRL or video games :shake:

First, sorry for the delay, it's the end of the term so obviously papers are piling up on my desk! I'll finalise everything this week-end and probably start the games this week.

@ Thierry: I know! I mean... He sucks, honestly... I don't know why in 2004 they have such weak rookies for that batch (LeBron is higher at 69) and the new rookies easily go in the 70s (2-3 per season and they report the draft as "weak"). Yet, that batch of rookies was probably the best one ever!

And nobody commented on Radmanovic? The guy's on fire!

TMAC, JJ, STAT and Leandrinho (?) looks like a dangerous squad, on paper anyway...

@Clutch: Well you know, this was back then: Barbosa (I can't spell his first name right) and JJ were not that good, and Amare was, while a top 5 C, nowhere near where he is right now. Actually, my second best player is probably Griffin!

ahhh that's their overall nxt to them; why i didn't realize that i dunno... that actually would've been a really nice lineup if those players matured on the same squad IRL; i'm glad E-Griff (RIP) is getting to continue his bball career at least in your dynasty; make him an All-Star and more (Y)
