Browsers are changing and nowadays there's a lot of good options to choose from. Internet Explorer sadly still has more market share (depending where you are, it could be Firefox), but the browsers with the lesser market share (Chrome, Opera, Safari) are clearly the fastest and more standards-compliant.
NSLC, what browser do you use for your operating system, and why?
Edit: I use Chrome.

Safari always ran kinda crappily on my mac so i use a mix of chrome and firefox (when chrome is not compatible with certain things because its an early mac version). I love chrome, its lightning compared to both firefox and safari for me.

Safari is style over substance, like most Apple things really. Chrome I can't be fucked with. I'm happy with Firefox and it's gazillion add-ons.

lol
I use Chrome and have since it was first released to the public. Basically I fell in love with the tabs, address bar searching, and the speed of this browser.
I do use Firefox on occasion for some of the scripts though.

IE8, though I've also got Firefox and downloaded Safari along with an iTunes update for no particular reason.

Chrome, used to be Firefox but Firefox crashes on alot of sites

IE8, but I have tried Chrome from other PCs and was impressed. Just too lazy to download and install it. Not really concerned with what browser I have as long as I can surf the net and stalk Lean.

How so? It's one of the more minimal and faster browsers.

Not on Windows it isn't. (Or at least wasn't.)

Firefox. It takes forever to open a new tab whenever I open NLSC in IE8.

Nor on my mac suprisingly. 90% of sites weren't compatible with it and it was very slow for me so i eventually firefoxed it up. Safari's not even on my dock anymore.

Yeah it was slow as hell for me as well. I only tested it because it's my iPhone browser and I was curious about how it'd go. Aesthetically it's the best browser.

You have to get updates and shite for IE8.

Usually Internet Explorer 8 is what I use, but also have firefox installed. For now, firefox is bit less compatible with some of the web sites, especially foreign ones.

When firefox got slow for me, I changed to Opera, and so far i'm loving it.

Was an IE user until about April of last year. Then I finally gave in and just tried Firefox for the heck of it. Have been sticking with it since.

That's actually shocking. Which sites if you don't mind my asking? I'm finding Safari to be just as fast (in terms of browsing) as Chrome on my Mac, and Firefox to be one of the more resource-eating applications.

This was all pre snow leopard: it could very well be fine on SL. but i only frequent a few sites so here, netflix, facebook, espn and probly at the time 1 or 2 other sites it didn't like.

I use Chrome, Firefox ran slowly when I added several plugins (especially for FTPs).
