The magazine

Sun Feb 01, 2004 3:24 pm

I got on the magazine!!!!

Image

My over-achieving 15-4 Bucks (only trade was Brian Skinner to the Clippers for Chris Wilcox) made to the 'All-Star Edition' of the magazine that I didn't even know existed. Then again the Hawks are 14-5 so it's not that special (I lost to them.)

Dan Gadzuric is a monster (this is for Rens) This is from the game where he had 15 on 7-for-7 shooting.

Nice one. (Y) But now you've got to write an imaginary article that would appear in the magazine.

you cant open the mag, they just show you the cover at some points in the dynasty mode like the start of the season or a few weeks before the all star game. they put a player who's doing good on the cover...

I need to hear more about this magazine?
Ihave never heard of it at all. is there somewhere in the menu's to view it?

Mon Feb 02, 2004 1:34 pm

It's only available in the PC version. You can't open it, there aren't any articles; it just mentions something about what's happening at the time. There's one at the beginning of the year, one at the All-Star break, one at the start of the playoffs, and one after the NBA Finals.

Mon Feb 02, 2004 5:19 pm

there's some screenshot button when you go to the replays
others you can just use printscreen or another program like hypersnap

You are being ironic right? Cause this magazine is the worst feature of this game. If it would have the possibility to open or articles in there, ok ... but just that stupid cover?

press F12 whenever you wanna take a screenshot of anything in the game--then it'll show up in your screenshots folder--and voila.

Its available on console versions. At the beginning of each month I think.

In my Gamecube version it has covers for the beginning of the season, the all-star break, and the end of the season. Just like the PC version.

i dont think the magazines are that bad, its fun to see who gets the cover and plus jus hit f12 and u can save them up its pretty cool, it would be better if u could open it up but you cant so i jus let my imagination work.

You could be right. I just don't recall seeing it in the PS2 version.

Upload the screenshots to your own webspace, then link to them using the IMG tags. Just make sure the images aren't too big, so that it won't take too long for us to see them.

hey, where do you have to go to see the magazine ? I must be damn foolish as I never found it  :? I have the PC version

Thu Apr 15, 2004 12:38 pm

It appears at the start of the season, just before the All-Star game, at the end of the regular season and after the playoffs have concluded.

Those same Bucks are in the playoffs as the number one seed. I had to leave for basketball before I could check the seeds but I finished 21-7. My final loss was to Houston, stupid game too, they just kept getting lay-ups. Francis was 7 of 8 for 15 in the first half, but only 1-3 in the second. Mobley picked up the slack in the 2nd half. They hardly gave Yao Ming the ball, which is accurate since this game was made after the 02-03 season
I almost came back on the shoulders of Tim Thomas, but no. He had 21 points, 9 boards, 3 blocks and shot something like 55% from the field. That's in 5 minute quarters, all-star, my own sliders.

My Team:
C - Dan Gadzuric
PF - Tim Thomas
SF - Desmond Mason
SG - Michale Redd
PG - TJ Ford
-----Bench-----
PG - Damon Jones
SF - Toni Kukoc
PF - Chris Wilcox
PF - Marcus Haislip
SG - Erick Strickland
PF - Joe Smith
C - Joel Pryzbilla
-----
C/PF ??? - Daniel Santiago, when I look at the roster he's cut off so I'm not sure, haven't played him once.

Just finished the first round (swept Miami by an average of 14 points) and just played an amazing game against Indy.

I was loosing the whole game then Michael Redd made 3 fadeaway jumpers in a row then a 3 and I was down by 1 with 12 seconds left. I fouled Jermaine O'Neal who goes to the line and misses the first shot and makes the second. Timeout by me. I'm thinking about who to go to. Normally it't Tim Thomas, but he's only got 7 points due to great D by O'Neal. Second option Desmond Mason, but he's guarded by Ronicide, so nothing to him. Next up on the list is Mihael Redd covered by slow, old Reggie Miller, so I'm going to him. I get him the ball on the left wing, wait until there is 5 seconds left then I juke left, spin right and I'm off to the hoop. Fouled by Jermaine, now I'm shooting the most clutch free-throws I've shot in the history of me owning Live. First one, the free throw things make a perfect cross. Second one didn't press the button quicly enough it's long. Game over right. Wrong, Thomas crashes the board and slams it home with 1.4 left. I'm so happy, then they end up throwing the ball into Jermaine since I double Reggie and he misses the 3. The game might have been different if there were inbounds plays (hint for live 05) but no. I win. Keep the homecourt and now it's off to Indy for game 2.
