Awesome to see the season moving along so fast. Let me guess, you write it up in notepad? Notice the word wrapping effect bugging your text in the game score info for the month.

Yeah I use notepad too as for some reason once I fill up the reply box on the forums it goes all bugging for any following lines of text. Easier to just complete in notepad then preview on the forums.

Struggling Warrios fire long time Head Coach Don Nelson
April 2nd, 2011

Image
The Golden State Warrios have announced the firing of Head Coach Don Nelson, effective immediately.

The Winningest coach in NBA history with 1,376 wins, this is the fifth season with the Golden State Warriors
for Don Nelson, having been named head coach on August 30, 2006. During his most recent three-season stint
with Golden State, Nelson has brought his uptempo, high-scoring brand of basketball back to the Bay Area as
the Warriors have finished either first or second in the NBA in scoring each season, including a league-leading
111.0 points per game in 2007-08. That year, he guided the Warriors to a 48-34 record, marking the team’s best
record since 1993-94 and just the ninth time in franchise history (since 1946) and the third time since 1975-76
that the team has amassed 48 victories in a single season. Additionally, Golden State’s 48-34 (.585) record in
2007-08 marks the best record for a nonplayoff team since the NBA adopted its current 16-team postseason
format prior to the 1984 NBA Playoffs.

Last season Nelson coached the Warriors to a 39-43 record and just missed the playoffs. The Warriors are
now 28-48 and rank amongst the last place finishers in the NBA as the season winds down. However, this
is not Nellie's fault, as the team is going through yet another rebuilding process, with long-time captain
Stephen Jackson being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves alongside veteran guard Stephon Marbury
and former lottery pick Anthony Randolph going at the beginning of the season, the Warriors were doomed
to the fate of another lottery season since the very beginning. Even with rookie Martti Must playing solid
basketball, there was just no way Golden State could have made the playoffs. Much of the blame can be
put on GM Larry Riley, who failed to do a good job of assembling talent after he took the reins from
former General Manager Chris Mullin.

Replacing Nellie, would be a rookie head coach by the name of Willis Randle.

Nets' Finley to miss rest of season with broken wrist
April 5th 2011

Image
New Jersey Nets guard/forward Michael Finley is expected to miss the rest of the season (postseason included)
due a broken wrist suffered in yesterday night's game between the Indiana Pacers and the New Jersey Nets.

Finley, acquired by the Nets from the Charlotte Bobcats on February 1st 2011, is a 16th year veteran who
was a 2 time all-star and was part of the 2007 championship winning San Antonio team. He was traded alongside
with Alexis Ajinca and a couple of draft picks in exchange for Patrick Mills and Chuck Hayes.

The Nets have had a number of injuries this season, most notably sixth man Ray Allen's season ending injury alongside
Chauncy Billiups' reoccurring injury woes. This is the worse time for Finley to go down, as fellow veteran Bruce Bowen
has not worked out for the Nets, leading in turnover ratio more then being the defensive presence New Jersey was hoping
for, the Nets will make the playoffs, but they would not go very far.

All thanks to the load of injuries they've had.

Yeah, and it happens to be in April when i can't sign Free Agents to play in the playoffs anymore :?
Hopefully i'll get a weak team in the first round and then see what happens....

John Wall's making a late push for it by pumping up stats (since the Celtics are out of the playoff hunt, surprisingly) but for now, i'll have to go with Bol too

That's cause i'm doing monthly recaps as opposed to game-by-game
Your pace seems fine right now, going real fast, i think it's just how comfortable you are with the write-ups, as long as you're enjoying it, it's all good

Martti. wrote:Take that Sit! I'm ROY before you! (After Bol and Wall)

You guys are tied with 2 Western Conference Rookies of the Month awards (Y)
EDIT: my mistake, you have 3 and Sit has 2

you'll miss out on the chance of witnessing your first playoff run, you guys might upset the Suns, afterall, the Wolves went on a 7 game winning streak to get back into the playoffs (Y)

Wow, no Sit in the All-Rookie 1st team. That's embarrassing.

The East was pretty and even with no clear leader, no teams exceeding 50 wins. The Playoffs should be interesting. (Y)

you guys have the NBA's worst defense (only team to give up 100+ per game), you should be glad that u guys won 32 games....

Martti. wrote:Wow, no Sit in the All-Rookie 1st team. That's embarrassing.

To be fair he was snubbed thanks to the positions, if it was just guard, forward, center he would've gotten in (Y)

Yeah, i might get killed by the 8th seeded Wizards and become the 4th team in history to lose a playoff series as the 1st seed in the first round....
