Here's one method:

  1. Create a dummy player in-game and save the roster.

  2. Open the players.dbf file with MS Excel or similar spreadsheet utility (normally I wouldn't suggest this, but if you're careful it should work without any problems).

  3. Locate the entry for the player you wish to duplicate. Copy their entire row of data.

  4. Paste it over the entry of the dummy player; it'll be the last row in the database.

  5. Change the PLAYERID column to the next number in sequence from the second to last row. In most cases, you'll be changing the ID back to what it was before you pasted the row of data.

  6. Open appearance.dbf and repeat steps 3-5. For info on locating players in appearance.dbf, please see the appropriate section in this resource.

No problem. Something I did forget to mention in my previous post, when saving the database it is essential that you save in DBF IV format. I can confirm that MS Excel 2003 provides this option and I'm told that the spreadsheet program included with OpenOffice allows it as well. If the database is not saved in the correct format, the file will be corrupted and you'll lose your work. Make a backup first just in case anything goes wrong.

No idea, unless it's simply this issue occurring.
