Lamrock, I hope to do my best. :)

Sit, yeah, your convenience is the reason I'm switching to 2K. :P

hova-, thanks man! :)

dare, having played 2K for 4-5 days, going back to Live 06 seems pointless. It's not the Bucks, it's just the difference between the games.

Azzdogs, great that you're following. :)

Valor, you'll soon find out. :P

Thierry., I'm undecided on what to do with the Bucks. Simulating is an option as I could then finish the season, not like the Heat where it ended halfway in the Playoffs.

The undrafted rookie has played great against some of the best players in the game.

Michael Parmer - it's never late to begin.

Parmer was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1989 on August, 7th to a family of 3 children, all of which were boys. Growing up, Michael was always challenged by his older brothers in every area they engaged in. Parmer was always taunted by his brothers and this motivated him to do achieve something great. Michael's father George encouraged his boys to play sports, mostly directing them to football.

When Michael was 13, he came home from another football practice with his brothers. Their father was supposed to pick them up, but he got stuck late at work, again. The walk home from practice wasn't long, but it did go by a basketball court. His older brothers walked straight by it, talking football jokes. Little Michael stopped and just stared at the basketball players, dunking, shooting jumpers and blocking shots.

His brothers didn't even notice that Michael had left behind and so Michael stayed by the court for an hour. Michael asked his father to put him into basketball practice but his father said no. Michael had played football for 5 years.

Michael signed up for the Simeon Career Academy basketball program. Although Parmer was already 6 feet tall by 13, his skills were practically non-existent. He snuck out every practice day to play hoops and always came an hour early and stayed for an extra hour with the coach. He told about it to his brothers and to keep them from telling their dad, he had to clean their rooms every day.

In practice, one kid also stayed for longer. He was one year older then him and they worked together. The other player should be familiar - Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose. Working with Rose day in and day out, Parmer's skills improved dramatically. He also ran 3 miles every day after practice.

Parmer became a star with Rose and they led the Simeon Career Academy to a state Championship. Rose went off to the University of Memphis, leaving Parmer in control. Parmer grew another few inches in the summer and started to lift weights to add muscle to his 6'8 frame.

Parmer averaged 25 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists in his senior year in high school and accepted the scholarship to the University of North Carolina. Parmer was the #2 high school prospect and his arrival in North Carolina was highly anticipated. In his first game for the Tar Heels, he injured his ankle severely and was sidelined for the entire season. He returned for the final 2 games, but only played 15 in both games.

Despite the long time away from the court, he still declared for the 2009 draft. However, no team were willing to draft him. He was hoping the Chicago Bulls would draft him so he could play with a good friend Derrick Rose.

However, the Bulls chose James Johnson and Taj Gibson instead. Parmer was very disappointed about the draft. But he wasn't gonna let that bother him for too long. He kept working out hoped that some team would choose him to join their Summer League team.

One day, his agent informed him that the Philadelphia 76ers are interested in his services. Parmer knew that this was his big chance to make it to the NBA. Parmer played well in the Summer League, finishing second in scoring for the 76ers to Jason Smith.

However, the Sixers didn't invite Parmer to their training camp. However, Parmer's agent informed him that basically every other team is interested. He didn't hesitate and went to Chicago. However, he was cut and veteran defender Bruce Bowen made the cut. Parmer's defense was the main key why he was cut by the Bulls.

Next stop for Parmer was the D-League and he went to play for the Springfield Armor. For the first 3 games, he came off the bench and averaged 9.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

He got the starting nod for the next game and delivered. He played 33 minutes and finished with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. He picked off where he left off in the next game and racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. After two games, the league was buzzing about Parmer. And then, in his third game as a starter, he scored 32 points on 16-24 shooting, grabbed 12 boards and added 6 assists and 4 steals.

This play caught the eye of the Memphis Grizzlies. They decided to sign him to a 10-day contract. In his very first game in the NBA, you could see that Parmer was special. The game a high-scoring 3OT thriller against Miami. Rudy Gay scored 36 points to lead the Grizzlies to victory, but Gay and all his teammates praised the play of Parmer. He racked up 25 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists in his debut. the final score was 165-152.

This was undoubtedly the best game for a player straight from the D-League. Parmer was surprised after the game, saying that he expected to play 5 minutes a game. However, after just 5 minutes, coach Hollins yelled Michael and he came in for Rudy Gay. You could see determination in his eyes and also you could say he was nervous. His first NBA match-up was Miami's Tracy Mcgrady, who they acquired for O'Neal.

Mcgrady finished with 37 points in defeat and only had good words about Parmer. "That kid is very, very special. I'm surprised he wasn't picked at all just because of his injury." D-Wade was also shocked. "He looked like he has played in this league for years. He moved very well without the ball and caused a lot of problems for us. He is definitely good enough for this league."

In the next three games, his games have been like this :

20 points, 13 rebounds (vs Boston)
22 points, 9 assists (vs Hawks)
21 points, 12 rebounds (vs Pacers)

After arriving in Memphis, the Grizzlies are 3-1. Parmer played 31 minutes in his very first game and has played over 28 in all the other. I think you can be certain that he would be signed for the remainder of the season.

After 4 games, he is the leading rookie scorer and rebounder. How can this kind of talent go unnoticed in the draft? I bet all the other 29 teams are kicking themselves, especially the Sixers and the Bulls. Way to go Ed Stefanski and John Paxson!

Pretty cool first update, although I thought you would do it a little more detailed.
Personally I would have been more interested in the development of him, as of now he seems to be already a star and a shoo-in for a regular contract.
But I understand that you're more interested in an NBA career, so keep it up.
