Dallas started the season strong, beat the Pistons at their Palace





In the Palace of Auburn Hills, the Mavericks started their first game on the road. They seem to be excited with their new additions. And with their offense doing good, they go for a quick 10-0 run to lead by 8 after the first quarter.

At the half, the Pistons were still trailing in the game, 56-43. They are really missing the services of their guard Rip Hamilton, who was injured with a broken nose after their first game in New Jersey. By the way, they also lost that game in the Nets’ home by 28. Ouch.

Back in the game, midway in the third, the Pistons had a 12-2 run leaded by Ben Gordon’s hot hand while the Dallas starters were resting. But the Mavericks remained their poise as they cooled Gordon down, still having a 10 point lead after the 3.

At the fourth, they finished off the game 104 to 95. Though he shot poorly, Dirk Nowitzki got the player of the game honor. He finished with 22 points, 2 rebounds, a steal and a block. He is 9 for 20 in the field, 3 for 7 beyond the arc, and splitting his lone trip to the line.
