Bucks fight for 53 minutes, but lose to Celtics.
12/28/10 - Bucks (117) - Celtics (121)

Kevin Garnett dominated like it was the old days.

The Bucks played an OT period for the 6th time in 7 games and the fatigue was felt. The Bucks fought hard against the league-leading Celtics, but in the end the experience of Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace over-powered the youthful Bucks.

The Bucks were terrible at handling the ball, as they turned the ball over 24 times. 9 players turned the ball over more then 2 times, leading to 34 points for the Celtics. Also, the Bucks earned 12 foul shots, three times less then the Celtics.

Brandon Jennings scored 26 points and dished 7 assists before fouling out in OT, Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut added 23 a piece. Eddie House scored 12 points off the bench in just 9 minutes thanks to three triples.

The Celtics weren't considered a contender when the season started. They lost Ray Allen to the Spurs and their main core of Garnett, Pierce and Sheed are all over 33 years old. They added Luis Scola, who also reached 30 this year. Flip Murray started at the 2-guard spot earlier in the season, but because of his struggles, the young, inexperienced Bill Walker was pumped to to the starting line-up.

However,

Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace combined for 57 points, 17 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 blocks on 64% shooting. Bill Walker, who the Bucks thought wouldn't be a threat, finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds, 15 of the points came in the second half.

Walker had hit two free throws with 5.9 seconds to go to put the Celtics up by 3. The Bucks didn't have time-outs remaining and the hyper-quick Brandon Jennings ran the floor, crossing over Rajon Rondo near half-court. He had just 3 seconds to go and decided not to pass to Michael Redd, who was well defended by Tony Allen.

He stopped and threw it up. Jennings wanted a foul call and landed on the floor after the shot. He watched the ball and raised his hand before the ball went in. It did went in and there were 5 more minutes to go.

In OT, the things were different. Pierce scored his only field goal and Kevin Garnett added back-to-back buckets to put the Celtics up 6-0 in the first minute. Eddie House scored a three on the other end, but Rasheed Wallace made a three over Brandon Jennings in the other end.

During a couple of Rajon Rondo's free throws, Rasheed said to Jennings :
"In your face there, boy!"
"That was a lucky shot, old-timer." Jennings replied.
"Hey I heard you bought a Ford Edge. I have pencil-sharpeners with more power then that thing!" Sheed kept taunting.

Jennings couldn't take it anymore, he saw his team down by 10 with 45 seconds to go and he was exhausted.

"I bet it's faster then your wheelchair, grandpa..." Jennings smirked.
"What was that, noobie!?" Sheed felt offended.
"Turn you hearing aid on, if you can't hear.." Jennings answered.

The two had to be separated, and as Jennings kept yelling stuff to Sheed, he was ejected. Sheed just smiled and said to himself : "Oh them youngsters. Can't handle a little trash talk.."

The league has announced, that Jennings won't be suspended, but will be fined $25.000 for his actions.

Much better ball distribution/shot selection by BJ; would hate to see him develop chronic Iversonitis so early in his career. Completely forgot you had Chandler too; he's pretty tight in RL but only an afterthought in your dynasty; just not enough rock to go around

Chandler has struggled in his second season with the Bucks.

Chandler doesn't see himself with the Bucks long-term.

After a loss to the Celtics, Wilson Chandler said that he doesn't see himself continuing his career in Milwaukee.

"I don't understand my role in this team anymore. Last season I was a part of the offense, this season I'm just not. All the plays go to Andrew, Michael or Brandon. It feels like this team doesn't need me. I don't care if they trade me, but I think I'm good enough to get more touches."

Chandler can opt out of his contract after this season and become an unrestricted free agent. The Bucks are currently 12-5, best in the Central division.
Bucks General Manager Shawn Kemp denied to comment on his plans for the summer, but did say that he wants to keep Chandler in Milwaukee.

Chandler averaged just 6.0 points in December, despite playing over 32 minutes. He averaged 6.6 shot attempts and 2.1 makes.

Kleiza chose to return to the NBA after a disappointing start in his second season with Olympiakos Piraeus in Greece.

Kleiza returns to NBA, signs with the Wizards.

Linas Kleiza, a 4-year NBA veteran has returned from overseas and signed a two-year deal with the Washington Wizards.

Kleiza spent four seasons with the Nuggets before heading overseas to play with Olympiakos Piraeus in Greece. Kleiza averaged over 17 points and 7 rebounds for Olympiakos in 2009/10. However, with the first 6 games of the 2010/11 season he has averaged just 9.8 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Kleiza asked the team to end his contract. Kleiza's departure was a mutual agreement between him and the team presidents Panagiotis Angelopoulos and Giorgos Angelopoulos.

The deal with the Wizards is an estimated 6.9M over 2 years.

Dee24, that's the hope. Although beating Thierry, Bosh and Lebron (huge numbers, but not in the MVP race) would be tough.

How's it goin?

Had some time off from the gym so I'd thought I'd start a blog, so ya'll know what I'm up to when not torching other teams hahahha!

This has been an amazing season for us. The summer signings have helped a lot. Also I've workin like like crazy with coach Payton. I feel my defense has improved a lot, even though my steals per game has dropped. It's best to learn from the best and man, GP's da man!

Yall know I’m pretty much a gym rat so I've been spending a lot of time in the gym with Coach Payton and Coach Skiles. It's crazy how much basketball Coach Skiles knows. We've been sitting together watching a ton of game tape. We watch our games and the tape of the teams we are gonna play. Like the other day we sat and for a while watching Chauncey Billups. Since he’s one of the best point guards in the league - and I’m just one of the new ones - I really have to prepare.
