So here it comes, my association to share with you guys. Hopefully I'd finish a season or two with this team. So many surprises awaiting you guys so keep on reading. Due to my laziness, I'll only update you with my team so this page will focus on the Knicks. Monthly Recaps are there for the other teams.

R. Rubio to Knicks?

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — A pair of eager, bright-eyed prospects held up their new Knicks jerseys Friday morning and smiled for the cameras, another yearbook image bursting with optimism.

Forward Jordan Hill and guard Toney Douglas, each drafted by the Knicks on Thursday night, stood as the latest standard-bearers of a better future.

“We’re a little better today than we were yesterday,” Coach Mike D’Antoni said, seeming less than content with modest progress.

When the draft ended, the Knicks were still searching for a star point guard, a pursuit that may lead back to where it began — to Ricky Rubio.

Rubio, the dazzling 18-year-old Spanish guard, was taken with the fifth pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He responded with pronounced ambivalence. His father responded with a threat to keep Ricky in Europe for another year or two. Rubio did not attend his own introductory news conference on Friday.

Knicks deciding between AI and Ramon Sessions.

We knew that the Knicks were all about Ramon Sessions - we actually thought it was pretty much a done deal at one point a week or so ago. The NY Daily News is reporting that an official offer from the Knicks may come as early as today … unless they decide to roll the dice and make an offer to Allen Iverson, which could happen.

From Frank Isola’s column this morning:

Ramon Sessions could receive a contract offer from the Knicks as early as Friday, assuming they don’t have a change of heart and shift their point-guard focus to Allen Iverson.

Mike D’Antoni is said to favor Sessions, a restricted free agent who enjoyed a breakout season for Milwaukee last year. However, Iverson could be a cheaper alternative because the perennial All-Star is willing to accept a one-year contract that would cost the Knicks their $5.85 million mid-level exception. Sessions, 23, is hoping to receive a multi-year contract starting with the mid-level exception. The Bucks would have seven days to match the offer.

According to a team source, Knicks president Donnie Walsh and Iverson’s agent, Leon Rose, met two weeks ago to discuss the possibility of Iverson joining the Knicks. Iverson had a subpar year last season with Detroit and desperately wants to salvage his career.

A step in luring James?

Reports show that the overhyped rookie Ricky Rubio is now headed to the Knicks.

The guard from spain said earlier to the media that he'll be playing his first season in the NBA for the Wolves then suddenly, he was traded to Knicks.

Timberwolves will receive Nate Robinson and two conditional draft picks.

Is this the first step in luring LeBron James next season? Or Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni is getting ready for the next few years if James would not sign with them?

For Knicks, Curry’s Off-Season Is a Key

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The reshaping of the Knicks’ roster may begin with a reshaping of the franchise’s most disappointing player.

Eddy Curry’s season was obliterated by injuries, misfortune and lack of fitness, robbing the Knicks of a potent scorer and denying them the chance to trade him and his hefty salary.

Team officials said they hoped to see a different Curry in training camp. Donnie Walsh, the team president, said on Thursday that Curry had committed to a comprehensive off-season program with a Detroit-based trainer. Walsh said the proposal came from Curry and his agent, Leon Rose.

Iverson, together with Rubio, will play on NY

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Another offseason move, The Answer Allen Iverson will now play on New York Knicks with the rookie Rubio and offensive coach Mike D'Antoni.

Iverson, his agent and business manager met with Donnie Walsh, coach Mike D'Antoni and two other members of the organization Monday during the first formal meeting between the Sixers and their former MVP.

Iverson was offered a one-year, non-guaranteed contract Tuesday, according to a person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the talks were private. He accepted the deal early Wednesday.

"The whole situation wasn't about the contract and the money," Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, told The Associated Press. "It was about the opportunity and the chance to come to Philadelphia."

New NBA season looms with top stars on unfamiliar teams

Top stars on unfamiliar teams have revamped the set of contenders trying to dethrone the Los Angeles Lakers as National Basketball Association champions with the 2009-2010 season opening Tuesday.

Massive center Shaquille O'Neal will join NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James, who averaged 28.4 points and 7.6 rebounds a game last season, in trying to bring the Cleveland Cavaliers their first title.

"My mission is to win a ring for the 'King,'" O'Neal said.

Veteran playmaker Vince Carter is among five new players who join Dwight Howard with the Orlando Magic as the reigning Eastern Conference champions cope with losing top talent, including Turkey's Hedo Turkoglu to Toronto.

"Vince gives us somebody who can create his own shots or create shots for somebody else," said Magic general manager Otis Smith.

Rasheed Wallace will join a healthy Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in powering the Boston Celtics while Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess join Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and a healthy Manu Ginobili with the San Antonio Spurs.

But the Lakers have made some changes of their own in a bid to repeat as NBA champions, swinging a deal with the Houston Rockets to bring in forward Ron Artest, a talented but often controversial figure.

"I'm coming to a team that already has a great nucleus of guys," Artest said. "I want to be a part of the team."

Testing the Lakers in the Western Conference will be the Spurs, trying to return as a title threat with Ginobili recovering from an ankle injury to help Parker in the backcourt and Duncan aided by McDyess and Jefferson.

Carmelo Anthony will make Denver a contender while Chis Paul powers New Orleans and Allen Iverson tries to lead Knicks to respectability, although it might be the depth of Portland that proves the secret to success.

The Miami Heat (1-0) held off the New York Knicks (0-1) to open their season. Jermaine O'neal led with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Miami shot 30% from the 3-point field and 10-for-14 from the foul line. Allen Iverson had the game-high 20 points for the Knicks and the rookie Ricky Rubio shot 4-for-7 from the field with 6 assists. David Lee led the game in rebounds with 18.

Eddy Curry twisted his right ankle early in the 1st quarter. (DTD)

Mario Chalmers dished out his career-high 13 assists. Dwayne Wade was bothered by foul trouble, he only played 20 minutes and scored 8 points.

Knicks scored 34 4th quarter points to defeat the Sixers.

Philadelphia 76ers 87, New York Knicks 100
VS

Philadelphia, PA - Allen Iverson scored 21 points in the second half, 12 in the 4th quarter to lead his new team to its first victory versus his former team, Philadelphia 76ers. Wilson Chandler added 18 points and 7 boards and Al Harrington with 17 points and game-high 4 steals. David Lee dominated the boards with 15 and Ricky Rubio led the game in assists with 8.

76ers dominated the game from the start up to the mid-3rd quarter with 10-for-20 3-pt shooting. Lou Williams led his team with 20 points and 5 assists.

"It's sad that we've losed our first game on the garden but it's very nice that we've bounced back from that lost, and learned from it." said Iverson.

"I thought we lost the game in the first half but the small guy (Iverson) had this thing called resurgence and managed to throw that 3-pointers. He'd just one the game." said coach Mike D'Antoni.

Next game, Knicks will come back to Garden and will try to win their first game at home versus Brandon Jennings and the Bucks.

Patrick Ewing joins the Knicks coaching staff.

Ewing will try to shape E. Curry, D. Lee and the bigmen of Knicks

Their former franchise player will now again seat on their bench, to teach the young guys.

Hall of famer Patrick Ewing is now coming back to the New York, as a assistant coach. Aside from his ultimate goal, to be a head coach in the NBA, the former Rookie of the Year said that he's excited to be back at the garden and he's excited to bring his experience to the knicks especially, the bigmen.

"This team is quite big, having 5 plus bigmen, that's exciting." said Ewing.

Nice back-court duo! Perhaps the Knicks can make the Playoffs now.

Pretty good start. I think you should just show individual player statistics instead of the Game FIC Scores though.

I'm thinking about weekly recaps. I'm getting bored on recapping each game. ^_^

I like that you use other statistical methods rather than the usual generic points, rebounds, assists etc although it might be better to use them when you come to doing a monthly recap rather than game by game basis, although can understand it either way
