Im Back! - Mark's Orlando Magic Association.

Well after, what is it, I guess 2-3 seasons of absence from the Dynasty/Association section Ive decided get back into the game.
2k10 has impressed me so far (although hell those menus are confusing to navigate) and since im not too too excited by My Player mode just yet I might as well kick straight into a dynasty.

You may remember a few of my past Live dynasty's the highlight being my Detroit Pistons Live 06 installement, so I hope to return to that kind of form eventually.

Currently Im still choosing a team, but will most likely end up going with my fav Magic, although another team will probably give me more room for roster movement as I don't really wanna break up Stan's roster.
Other teams that have appealed are; Timberwolves, Clippers or Bucks for a rebuilding mission, Rockets; Hawks or Suns to play as a potential contender, or for the top teams it will probably be out of the Magic or the Nuggets

I am also trying to decide which length season I will choose. I found I had more success playing 29 games back with Live, and I would like to get through multiple seasons. However with sim stats not looking to shabby in the game
I could look into doing 82 games and simming a large portion.

I will post some more details as I get the hang of this whole system again (havent even had photoshop on my PC for the last year I think).

Anyway feel free to give an opinion on which team I should run with or just answer the poll question. Also which length season I should go with is still up in the air.

Clippers should be interesting, and you should also try the Knicks

I would like to see you rebuild the Timberwolves, that would be a pretty interesting association. In terms of season length, I reckon you should play the 82 games, and use Thierry's system of simming, considering he created a great simulation method which I don't think should be ignored by others.

I like the Clippers because they a have a hometown hero and I like to see Blake Griffin in action I also like the Wolves because I also have a dynasty with them

First choice has to be Minnesota without a doubt. They are a test. Everybody loves Love too

Unfortunately, if you choose the T'wolves, this Association won't last past Christmas.

The obvious choice is the Magic as you are most likely to play it through.

However I couldn't bring myself to vote for them, so I went for the Rockets. As a Magic fan you must like T-Mac. You have the dilemma, to keep or trade. Then there is injured Yao. Scola is stud. You'll probably like Brooks & Ariza.

Remember, if you pick the right team then you can beat out Thierry for Association longevity. Make it last until you head to the Republic

EDIT: Go 58 game seasons. 82 is too much of a grind.

lol Thierry has the least practical method of simming. Writing those recaps and taking all those pictures must take longer than an actual game. It sucks the Magic are winning, since I prefer associations with low-tier teams. For that reason, I think you should pick the Clippers. A fairly bad team with a pair of potential all-stars in Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin, and a wild card in Baron. I honestly think a Clips dynasty would last longer than a magic one because there is actually some room for improvement on their roster. Either way, good luck. I'll follow.

Rockets are appealing, especially as T-Mac is probably one of my top 5 all time fav players. But yeah its still hard to pass up the Magic and I think I will be able to keep going with them for a long time. Kinda like how I find it hard to play any football game as any team other than Arsenal.

Yeah its looking like it will be the Magic I go with, would find it hard to go with any other team at this stage. And Sit its not all about Dwight, gotta make sure my boy JJ gets plenty of PT

Still not entirely sure on the season length. Im kinda leading to an all or nothing view, so either do 29 games playing them all or 82 simming a third like Thierry's format. I guess at least with the Magic I can expect decent sim results.

Anyway will be posted setting etc once I decide on the season length.

I do the videos and like 10 more pics for actual games, the video takes at least 3 hours (in making and uploading)

It takes me an hour and a half to recap four games.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I think I will be using video sparingly, although I will use it everynow and again just to show off how much my current rig dominates this game

Videos sparingly is a good idea. dunk highlight reels tend to be impersonal and doesn't really do a good job telling the story. unless you do voice over commentary like on TNT at halftime! lol
