I actually thought this one wasn't quite as bad as the previous two. Still very weak overall, and most of the side characters are still pretty much useless, but at least some of the jokes were decent enough this time around.

It was better than Family Guy this week.

Really, it's the old Family Guy. Cleveland is dealing with actual "family" issues. It's just written poorly.

Of course, American Dad (the only one of the FOX Four without a thread) continues to be at a completely different level than the rest and is the only action-adventure comedy cartoon I can think of.

That youngest kid. He needs to be killed off immediately.

I can agree with it just being written poorly, it does have potential....just none that will be met this season.

and American Dad is awesome, it's much better than Family Guy and this show on average

I thought the "Do you want to see Cleveland Jr. and play with him in the car?" part was pretty good.

I could say the same for pretty much every new character in the show. If they were so keen to do a spinoff, maybe they should've just had Cleveland out on his own with Cleveland Jr, sort of like Jay Sherman in The Critic.

I thought it was about on par, but there was nothing truly terrible about it. Overall it's the epitome of bland though and that's not much better.

Hmm, I dunno, I thought last week's was tolerable but I didn't really like that one. Too many jokes that fell absolutely flat.

It was good enough to keep me watching for at least one more week, there are decent stories peering through the cracks and some of the supporting characters were actually put to reasonably good use. However, some absolutely terrible jokes and cutaways that dragged on. Bland, but I can't shake the feeling it has potential so I'll give next week's episode a look.

The latest episode might just be the one that ends my morbid curiosity with the show. It was already suffering from terminally unlikeable and uninteresting new characters, then they basically turn Cleveland into a complete and utter tool amidst a tired plot and some of the unfunniest jokes in the history of television.

Yeah. Even though I didn't watch it. Guessing I might be done with McFarlane's view of the world. He had a good run though.

I think he just got complacent and a trifle big headed in the wake of the revival, the big contract and of course, the hype. His humour is too mean-spirited...humour like that can work but there's a small margin for error in my opinion, a fine line that when crossed renders the whole thing painfully unfunny.

Gave it another go and was, unsurprisingly, let down. It's a shame, the show had some potential but then they basically "fleshed out" Cleveland into a slightly smarter, slightly less of a jerkass version of Peter. Seen it before and the original's stopped being funny, so now it's just grating.

What a horrible, horrible way to create 22 minutes of animated television. They just go through every single stereotype with this show, and just when you think it can't sink any lower, it certainly does. Every character is unlikeable and uninspired, and they just try way too hard to go straight to the most outrageous jokes, it falls flat most of the time. This is just a terrible show.

I laughed a couple of times during the latest episode but I'd still have to agree wholeheartedly. It had some potential, but they blew it.

They suspended the commentators who talked in honesty about an iranien. But McFarlane gets to be an ass and rake it in?

Fair enough.. I've watched the first two episodes now, and it is not a great show at all. I would much rather watch Family Guy. The only bit that made me laugh (yes I'm childish) was before Cleveland moved away and when Lois and Bonnie were making out and Quagmire says "touch, touch boobs". Now this made me chuckle a bit, but when he says the same thing when Cleveland and Peter are hugging goodbye, well that did make me laugh out loud. Yes it's childish I know lol. I can sit through the show, I would rather watch it than King of the Hill for sure..

I do think Rollo is funny though. :)

The pilot did have some promising moments and wasn't as awful as I expected it to be. Sadly, it's pretty much been downhill from there.
