All I am asking for is a respecful approach. Would you tell the makers of southpark to their face they should do better?

Probably not, it would be a bit crass to use a meeting with Trey Parker and Matt Stone as an opportunity to complain about certain episodes. That said, I don't see how Oznogrd is being disrespectful, he's not saying that Parker and Stone are hacks or idiots who don't know what they're doing, he's just posting his opinion on what he thinks makes the best episodes of South Park, based on his own preferences and comparing the latest one to previous episodes.

If someone, outside of the field you work in, said you can do your job better, how would you take that?

Depends on the criticism, and whether there was any validity to it. Of course, there are more people reviewing television shows than computer repairs and that's where my job and theirs greatly differs. Where there's creativity, there's also critique and that critique is going to be subjective.

But more to the point, no one is saying that Matt Stone and Trey Parker aren't funny, or that they're idiots or that we can do better. Oznogrd just stated a preference and gave his reasons why.

By this logic no one should ever be criticized or critiqued by anyone outside of the particular field they work in. That makes no sense.

My point is that if you can't do it better, don't tell how it should be done.

You dont know me or if I could or could not do an episode better than this season finale. Nor do trey and matt. Nor does anyone else for that matter. I'm being very respectful: trey and matts job is to make a show that people will 1)watch, 2)laugh, 3)sell merchandise...lets go down the list:

1) I viewed the episode so...check
2) Yes i've already admitted i laughed regularly during this episode (its not that the gags werent funny...its my personal belief is they ran too long)...Check
3) I own seasons 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 on DVD: all legal bought with money at a store...Check

I just personally prefer a different style of episodes than the one they chose to end their season with. Once again: im not saying it's worse than anything else on tv. In fact its far better. But i'll spell it out again: THEY SET A RIDICULOUSLY HIGH STANDARD FOR THEMSELVES. When a weak episode crops up (as is natural), it stands out a little more than strong episodes. The writers and the show have obvious strengths and weaknesses: as do everyone and everything. I pointed out what I believe are some and somehow you took offense for two guys you never met trying to prove me wrong. There is nothing to prove here. I stated on opinion you took as "an attack" on the show. It wasnt. I love this show. It has long since surpassed The Simpsons as my favorite show of all time. Is it perfect though? No: nothing in this universe is. To be able to watch a show develop and grow is a great part of any long running series and can actually much like a great band has many great albums rather than just 1 or 2 songs/hits...makes the legacy that much richer.

You yet to have listen and this is a conversation being pursued logically: not a private fight i feel requires PMing or anything else. You just ignore statements and say what you think regardless of any rebuttals or logical statements made and use internet "smart" responses such as "can you do better?"
Just call it a day sunshine. I think what I think of the pee episode: it was 3 jokes, which while it made me laugh, was a disappointing low point of the 7 episodes of this half season for me.

Of course I do. I just dont think every action of everyone on the internet (see Nostalgia Critic thread or many others you've started your wanna be freud habits) is a deep statement about the state of their psyche/mental health. You apparently do. PM me to continue this if you must since i think the last time south park was mentioned was a few posts ago.

Well, this discussion started due to southpark, so it's still somewhat on topic. Seeing as how the makers of that show share quite a lot of views on people with me.
Freud was a waterboy who felt secluded from humanity. I used to too, but am more aspiring to be the oposite of him. I want to understand people so I can be friends with everyone. His intention was to have people admire him from afar.
I think that everything people do or say has meaning and can tell you more about them. No one has to agree if they don't want to. I am human though and get annoyed by human limitations like everyone else.
And I don't must, but I will talk to anyone.

It's not even a discussion anymore. A discussion is when two parties are exchanging (different) points of views. He's giving you arguments and you're brickwalling the "discussion" with stupidity such as "can you do better" and "you don't get it".

So no, you're not on topic, no matter how you try to twist it and how you say it originated, it's not on topic. That's one.

Secondly, fuck off with your "the makers of South Park and me are so in sync" shit. Stop trying to come off as if you have some deeper understanding of human beings than you actually do. It's quite pompous of you and frankly...it's highly irritating. And no, it's not irritating because I have issues or because Coolmac jerked me off with his toes, it's just fucking irritating without any psycho-babble bullshit reason.

Lastly...equate yourself to Freud, that's just screaming "I'm a moron" to anyone who has half a brain. For your own good, just don't do it.

In your efforts to understand people and befriend them all, you're alienating people.

Psycho analyze that motherfucker.

xoxo to my lovers here at the NLSC.

I was wondering where you went. Nice to have you back Jackel.
How many layers of southpark do you enjoy? I learned about people from watching it. I hardly think I am in sync with anyone.
I said I am the opposite of Frued. Is that what equating means?
I am collecting what I consider best ideas on humanity. No where have you seen me state I know it all or have all the answers for everyone. That's why I am searching. To gain knowledge.
I want to have the ability to befriend anyone. Actually trying to be friends with everyone would be stupid.
Sorry if you feel alienated.

And you really need to stop having so many fucking terrible opinions!

The show was hit pretty hard by the cutbacks, holdovers, yearly cancellations and Lucky but the last two years were pure condensed awesome stuck between truly terrible programming (The Simpsons) and a show containing five minutes of mediocre to above average content stretched to 20+ minutes (Family Guy).

The last two years gave us the epic escape from Texas-Nebraska, the PTA-Powderpuff episode, Cotton's death, the co-op, the amazing carnival of suffering, basket weaving, trans-fat ban, Hank's learning he was a sucker, Peggy's real estate exploits, Strickland and Dale's carbon offsets, aforementioned MySpace, using Bill to buy stocks, Bobby in "special needs", The Propane Convention, Hank's nose, THE ARLEN BARN, NANCY DOES DALLAS, war over the Fourth and with the guy from Canada.

And the series finale was basically perfect. (Especially compared to the first series finale they did.)

The rest of TV wishes it could have had the output KOTH did into its final years. If it wasn't for American Dad, I'd wonder if sitcom animation died with KOTH.

Not sure I watched any of the last two seasons. Think I gave up on it in 2005 or 2006.
