Well, I hope he isn't disappointed and he will play good. For the Bobcats, it's a good deal then.

I first saw that trade and thought, "wtf" but after a little bit of thought it may not be a bad deal for either side. Raja Bell gives Oakland somewhat of a defensive wing player and Radmanovic can shoot threes and not play defense... and uhm, the Warriors do both of those things.

Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson is an interesting combo though. Too bad neither of them can help make Tyson Chandler play well.

I would love to see Raja Bell get bought out and go to the Blazers, but its not happening. Vlad Rad is horrible, Bell is a fantastic role player and Stephen Jackson will likely get the Bobcats the eighth seed, nothing more, nothing less. Acie Law won't play.

You think Vladimir Radmanovic has been good recently and that Jonny Flynn is the best rookie in this draft class. Your opinion is completely and utterly invalid in my eyes. Good day.

the warriors play defense? Bell should just go ahead and get his surgery done instead of playing for GSW

My thoughts exactly when I saw the news. Still, when he decided the best way to be traded was to be a headcase, any contender who might have been interested would likely have been put off regardless of what he can do on the court, so it's not surprising that this is the best deal that he or the Warriors could get in parting ways.

Hahaha, bad wording. I meant that GSW DOESN'T play any defense and neither does Radmanovic, but he can shoot the twah, so they're a beautiful match. It's too bad he isn't an athletic swingman, he'd fit in even more perfect.

Did someone just used "bobcat" and "playoff" in the same sentence. I'll give them a prayer if they sign AI?

Not sure why everyone is so negative on this trade. It's a great trade for both teams and part of why I made a similar suggestion last April.

The Bobcats can't score, and even worse they don't even have people who can use possessions. Jackson can. That's why I thought they needed to move Bell and Felton for Crawford/Jackson/Maggette and something. They didn't and won't have any cap room, so they needed to find some players they could get through trades like this.

The Warriors had a massive salary and position logjam with Maggette, Jackson, Ellis and Crawford. They've now turned both Jackson and Crawford into expiring contracts. And it looks like Ellis will be number three to go. Jackson has been lousy, but Nelson loves the type of player he is so was playing him over players who should have been. Ellis is getting similar burn despite poor play. The team needed desperately to clear room for Randolph, Wright, Morrow, Azubuike, Watson, etc. And they've done that.

Great trade. Hopefully they can work out something similar in dealing Ellis.

Bobcats:
As everyone has said allready, Jax gives the Bobcats their first real offensive threat since Jason Richardson. He's also an underrated defender and rebounder and can play 4 if needed. Also he helps a lot Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace since they now don't need to take forced shots (Felton 2 FG%36 and Wallace 35%!!!). Their game will also elevate. Acie Law has potential, bit he's always been on a team where he can't get minutes on point. And, in Charlotte, this in no exception (Felton and Augustin).

Warriors:
Raja Bell is a defensive specialist and will get a LOT of minutes, because Golden State coud use a player who coud actually defend someone one-on-one. He also has 3-point range. Vlad Radmanovic is a shooting big who fits perfectly to Nellies All-O, No-D-system. Will play a lot more minutes than he played in Charlotte.

Outcome:
Win-Win. Charlotte got the scorer they need and Golden State cleard their salary and got some solid players as a bonus.

Sorry for my bad english. :D :D :D

Quoted for record and search purposes.

Mirkwood wrote:Raja Bell is a defensive specialist and will get a LOT of minutes, because Golden State coud use a player who coud actually defend someone one-on-one. He also has 3-point range.

I said this and say it again, any player who played any semblance of defense in the Suns' SSOL system will look like a stud of a player, like Raja Bell.
Bell just played for Larry Brown, if there's a coach who loves and craves defense, it's him. Since Brown isn't throwing a hissy-fit on Bell being traded, I assume he also agreed/pulled the trigger on that trade.
Raja Bell isn't the defensive stud that we and the media see him to be.

Vlad Radmanovic is a shooting big who fits perfectly to Nellies All-O, No-D-system. Will play a lot more minutes than he played in Charlotte.

With Nellie's erratic rotation, I doubt it. He might play 40 mins. in one game then play 7 mins. the next game.
HE'S USING HYPNOSIS!

Whether or not Bell still has it as a defender might not matter this year anyway, as he could be out for the season.
