Earl Boykins Is Back !

Postby Dee. on Thu Nov 12, 2009 10:05 am

WASHINGTON (AP)—The Washington Wizards have signed free-agent guard Earl Boykins(notes) after a series of injuries at that position and waived center Paul Davis(notes).

Boykins has averaged 9.4 points and 3.4 assists in 10 NBA seasons with eight teams. He played in Italy last season.

Davis averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 assists in two appearances for the Wizards (2-6) this season.

Wizards guard Randy Foye(notes) sprained his right ankle during Tuesday’s loss to Miami. Other injured guards: Mike Miller(notes) (left shoulder), Mike James(notes) (left hand), Javaris Crittenton(notes) (left foot). Also, forward Antawn Jamison(notes) (shoulder) has been out all season.

Can't wait to see the Little guy play again. :)

Good player, though his last season in Charlotte sucked. Don't see how he's going to help the team though

He sucked beacuse Charlotte didn't give him any minutes. I think he'll help the Wizards by giving Gilbert a couple minutes to breathe while scoring 2-6ppg.
Allen Iverson passing on family values:

A.I.: son, what you doing there?
A.I.'s son: practicing my math for my test tommorow
A.I: practice? practice? we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test - practice. we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test, not the test - practice.

Looks like he'll have a shot to stick around with some of the injuries on the Wizards, so good for him. I doubt he'll propel them to great heights but he can flat out score at times.

I remember last year when Boykins played in Estonia with this team Bologna Virtus. He's still very quick, dropped 18 points, game-high. We lost also.

This dude, Keydren Clark, who is listed at like 5-10 (apparantly closer to 5-8 or 5-7 cant remeber)... he dropped 51 for his Greek team last season. :)

Yeah, I went to see that game, I think they only won by overtime last second tip-in.
