Dynasty HOF: 2007/2008

We are wanting to pick out the top dynasty threads from each year so that they can be stickied and thus displayed more promiently in the Dynasty Hall of Fame.

I have created polls for each year and depending on the results (hopefully we do get people voting) as well as depth of the contending threads, we will choose which ones and how many from each year to display. What I propose is that the winner of the poll gets direct privilege of being sitckied while the voting thread remains open for you to add discussion on what other stories deserve merit.

So please vote as well as leave your opinions!

Since this is for dynastys made over a 2 year period, you are allowed to pick 2 options from the list

Note: Homicide's dynasty was included. Due to 'length of time' it ran for, it was decided that since he started it so early in 2008, that it would be fair to label it a '2008 dynasty'. Marrti's Miami Heat started near the end of 2008 is considered a 2009 dynasty and will not be included in this 2007/2008 category.

Yes, there was quite a lull these two years. In all honesty, 2K9 being on PC probably saved the dynasty from going extinct. While its really cool to see mine up there, its probably the second weakest dynasty. It was a very tough choice. My vote would have gone to Pursuer had all of his pictures not expired. Martti would have gotten my vote, had he not made the 2009 dynasty of the year, so I ended up going with Clutch's Rockets.

After all this, I just realised the short period of time dynastys were made. I thoguht they had been running longer than this.

On a sidenote, am not too familiar with many of the 07/08 dynastys as that's when I wasn't on the forums.

Well, there's these, then there was a fairly decent Warriors 07 dynasty, but thats about it. Live 07 can be blamed for this section's destruction.

Well, here's hoping that we get a good turnout for voting. I am hoping I get 8 people, 1 more than Martti.

My votes to Pursuer and Clutch.

Pursuer's Lakers was probably the best dynasty I have seen and it kind of got me into the whole dynasty thing. Shame it ended with an error. Clutch's also got my vote.

Went with Chaser's Clippers and Clutch's Rockets.

homicide1550’s Rise Up! was my favorite.

Chasers Clippers was a masterpiece which brought me to the community which I barely visit nowadays. My vote goes to him, and I can't go past Clutches either, his was stunning aswell.

Indeed, Chaser's Clippers was the 2008 DotY for good reason. It was the prime influence for Homicide's dynasty, and until its untimely retirement, overshadowed it. How's it going Oskar? For the longest time, I used to get you and Valor confused.

As you can tell I rarely post here nowadays, but I always meant to post some sort of closure to my clipper's dynasty. Anyways, in all honesty I was going to finish it, (I had played 14 games in advanced, but had the results, pictures, box scores etc. all cataloged) but then after sneaking my xbox 360 away to college my dad brought it back home, and it got stolen (he put it in the trunk of his car that we were shipping cross coasts), so the hard drive was gone, and I could no longer finish it.

Anyways, thanks for the votes guys, but why is 2007/2008 combined, whereas the other years aren't?

And also, finally Lamrock what do u mean by this "Martti would have gotten my vote, had he not made the 2009 dynasty of the year", he didn't get the 2009 DOTY, I thought Sit did, (from my understanding at least)...

When I compiled the list together, only 2 or 3 were 07 stories so I decided to combine the two years.

Also, I got Association of the Year and Marrti got Dynasty of the Year... then I got Story of the Year (both combined). Just to clarify. I think it was consensus that we've had a weak crop of dynastys/associations so hopefully its gonna change!

Two weeks on and Martti and Homicide are tied. No offense to homicide, but it would make sense for Martti to get it so that there is one 07 and one 08 (era) dynasty.
