Don't believe there is a thread already about this..
Anyways, I'm sure most of you already know the wonderful folks at infinity ward are coming back again with a sequel to COD 4: Modern Warfare. Release date has been set for 11.10.09 for quite awhile now, any of you guys pre-ordered yet?

You can find in the gamespot link some info about the prestige edition of the game being sold, comes with a steel case for the disc, an artwork book of some sort, and actual night vision goggles with a head model to mount them on when not in use. I know this info has been out for awhile but haven't heard much else about it. Hope it holds up to the first one, I'm sure it will

Let me know when it doesn't have trigger points to start/stop the AI swarms and crappy gunplay.

I didn't get the chance to sit down and play COD 4 for a long time, only a match or two here and there online. But the few matches I played I enjoyed, although the majority of my XBL gameplay is spent on Rainbow Six Vegas 2 :P

If it's as ridiculously scripted as CoD4, I think it'll be the first CoD game that I won't play.
Fed up with the random fucking checkpoints beyond which enemies stop spawning, they've gone too far with that.

Nervous about this game, but I think it's the best shooter for ps3 to play online. I am dissapointed hearing all these things that they are adding.

Ignoring IW.net, is the PC version a direct port of the console version?

Mackey-IW
No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.

Also, PC version only uses one core. No multi-core support.

Really good game but there's one thing I don't like - 50 percent completion status. If they planned to create MW3 they could fix that instead of letting users think ''why the f*ck I can't finish this game?''. That's the biggest problem. The rest of the game is well developed and fun to play.

i dont get it...why is it a problem that you can't get 100% complete without collecting stuff or beating it on Veteran

I thought that was because of missing part of storyline (what happened with Makarov). Never mind then. I just would prefer extented campaign mode instead of Special Ops.

just acquired it on PC and only playing single player

Not a bad campaign at all. not very far in though.

If you're playing games like this for epic storyline you're doing it wrong. Stop complaining and shoot some shit while you blow things up.
