Roster Editor?

Talk about NBA 2K10 here.

That's really nice! (Y)

The main reason I was saying that about the export/import feature is because last year both editors didn't allow to copy/paste data to/from Excel spreadsheets or other databases.

With Live and its DBF files, it was really easy to copy data from one edition to another. I wish we can do that again with NBA 2K because recreating players' appearance, ratings, tendencies and signature style via the CAP interface each year is a big pain in the a**.

Looking forward to testing your editor :D

Ah, I see. U've added me some more work, dude. :D But I'll make the ability to copy spreadsheets from Excel (maybe not in the first release, but surely, I'll make it), as U wish.

So, update:
Numbers are now editable.
Accessories are now editable.
Shoes are mostly editable (need to understand how color values work).

Also, ability, which won't be documented in the first release, - to edit arenas:

Thank you very much for planning to do it :D :applaud:

If you do so, roster patchers will save a lot of time when creating Classic Teams, FIBA Teams, Custom Leagues and so on. We will only have to focus on player faces and some minor customization.

As building this roster editor should be a lot of work, feel free to ask for help if you need (as far as I'm able to).

Great work (Y)

Done this already. ))) The selection of cells is a bit clumsy (the best way is to use arrows + Shift; mouse selection works a bit clumsy), but this doesn't cause much trouble...
Copyes from REDitor to Excel and vise versa without any problem.

Update:
Shoes are editable.

Guys, I need help. The problem is that I can open neither CFs' IFF-files, nor IFF/CDF portraits.
So, I ask u to land me a hand and provide me with IDs of portraits and CFs (I mean, that XXX in pngXXX.iff) for all 76ers players.

After I make IFF IDs editable, I will release the very first version...

Yes, but, unfortunately, when I try to load *.edit file it says "You tried to load wrong format. Exception: HRESULT 0x8007000B".

I use VIsta x64

hey vlad i was wondering if you saw anything in the data you have decoded that has anything to do with headband color value. we patchers were able to change the color of them in 2k9 but this is not possible for us in this years version. 2k took the headbands out of the jersey iff and put the value for headband color somewhere else. as i was reading the patch update for 2ksports they said the 2k insider will be able to change headband value via roster updates so i assume the headband value is in the roster file for teams somewhere. i was wondering if you could shed any ight on this. by the way your editor looks awesome and the whole community is appreciative of your efforts i know i am

I know, where Headband's color is stored in the roster. Suppose, I also know, where color of all gear is stored... But this will be added to editor a bit later...

Actually, I wanted to release my editor on Sunday, but it seems, that no one is gonna help me and tell IFF IDs of CFs of 76ers players... So, I am simply not able to release it.

Sorry If I'm asking something that already been asked, will this editior allow you to edit the players in my player mode and allow them to use .iff files instead of the generic CAP textures?

Good work Vlad thanks for the update I cant wait for the release (Y) :!:

We would appreciate the ability to filter by position if not hard to do (Y)

Sounds wierd but I play with every player like this

99 Dunk
99 Vertical
99 Lay Up
99 Dunk
99 Stdnk
99 Pass

Very fun and you get to see awesome dunks and sweet passes. (Y) :!:

Just put the sliders all the way up, does the same thing!!!
