Game won't start on Windows XP

I can play 2K10 fine on Windows 7 and Vista, but when I installed on the XP partition the game wont start. The game goes black like the game's about to start for like half a second and then the game crashes. I am not familiar with Windows XP is there something that needs to be disabled for 2K10 to work??? Any help is appreciated.
