5 years and 3,000 post's later.

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

5 years and 3,000 post's later.

Postby Doobie on Thu Oct 29, 2009 4:15 am

So... I know we have a milestone thread, but it's more fun for me to do this. Man, it's been a long 5 years here for me. I went from an annoying poster here with the brain of a coolmac, to a less annoying poster with the brain of a Dweaver. It's funny how these boards have become such a big part of my internet life, but I am thankful for stumbling here. I admit, I signed up to these boards while deciding wether I should pick NBA Live or NBA 2k the year I joined, and I obviously went with 2k. Thank god these boards have so much more to offer than just NBA Live talk.

I've spoken here about countless issues in my life, some stupid and some huge. The advice you guys have offered me has helped me, even though I don't always listen, I want to thank you guys for listening to my rants on life. I started here a 15 year old boy and I am now a 20 year old man, and in these five years I've learned a lot on life, and you guys have been here for most of my issues. Well enough with the complaining, let the celebrations begin.

I feel like it took me ages to get to 3,000 post, but I am here and I'm glad to be a veteran on these boards. I wish we would get some of the old poster's back, but obviously Indy is in Ireland getting married and Matt, Mathew, Jona, Cable Guy, Jackie, Sauru, and G.O.A.T are all probably in jail somewhere, or they still post here I just don't see them. I always wished for these forums to be more active, but after posting on the 2k sports forums for 2 days I realized that I love it just the way it is.

I really don't have much to say, just thanks I guess. I will continue to post here and let's keep these boards going!! I will win every fantasy league this year, shadowgrin will continue to be my bitch, and Air Gordon will continue to be active in like 3 threads. I'm writing this before I head to work so I'm low on time. And for the new guys, keep posting and don't be annoying or stupid. Andrew, keep up being the most awesome admin ever. GO KNICKS!! Well, I'll leave you guys off with MY SONG OF THE DAY. Also, the office isn't as bad as some people say it is!

Also I am announcing a name change. I am dropping the Knicks from my name till they start winning. Plus everyone refers to me as Doobie regardless.

Well done Doobie. You definitely did improve over the years, I was reading an old thread the other day where I compared you to wisdom_kid so you've come a long way.

Congrats Doobie. Together, we now account for over 50,000 of the posts here in the NLSC Forum!

Anyway, it's always nice to hear that with all the ups and downs we've had here at the NLSC, people still enjoy coming here and talking basketball, NBA Live, NBA 2K or whatever. Keep making those threads, I hope you'll be around for a while yet.

Hey I've wanted to get rid of the damn apostrophe on my name since, like, forever...

Anyway, congrats Doobie! Don't lose hope on the Knicks just yet, I have a feeling next season's gonna be pretty good for us lol.

Been M.I.A for a few days but thanks guys.. I am hoping to stay here as long as the boards are here. Jae it would be nice if you freed up the name "doobie", I was gonna ask an admin too but I wasn't sure if it was improper to delete another account, I didn't know it was inactive. Drex, I lost weight, I gained A LOT of weight, and I lost more weight. The fattest I was, was 248. Now I am at 232. My lowest this year was 212. I am like a living rollercoaster. I'm trying to be more positive and actually handle situations rather then bitch and do nothing. But thanks for the input anyways guys. (Y) (Y)
