Folks,

With admin permission, I present to you the NBA 2K10 Hall of Shame. This thread aims to expose cheesers and abusers in-game. Whatever platform you have, post your evidence here.

Please be considerate with your comments. We come from different cultures and what is not offensive to one may be offensive to the other. Please, no flaming.

wendaren's Play Style
- chooses a high caliber team like Orlando, Phoenix, LAL, and Cleveland.
- control is locked to the star player of the team 95% of the time.
- after a successful field goal, one player stays to try to steal the inbound pass of the opponent
- 5-7 second offensive plays
- doesn't call plays according to the playbook of the team.
- he does this from 1st Quarter to the final quarter of the game
- run-n-gun style offense or shoot-pass or pump fake.
- plays rough defense from start to finish
- makes sure that his lead is 10-20 points

You should be able to beat him though, I love cheesers who like to play the inbound pass. It cripples their defense because they have to play 4 on 5 after that.

If he abuses with Lebron... I don't know what to tell you, Mike Brown does the same thing in real life.

I understand how inferior the Mavs are when compared to a Team Champion. For one, the rebounds would show that. But I think using Kobe and Pau on the offensive end all the time makes an otherwise enjoyable game even more one-sided.

Those kind of players certainly just started playing the game and the only thing that's satisfying for them is when Kevin Harlan says the winner after the final buzzer. They are not so much into the game and not trying to feel that reality that was made possible in 2k10, which is the main feature of the game. Well, good luck for them

It doesn't bother me how anyone plays, u just gotta adjust and shut em' down. But curious101 I understand where u are coming from brother with the high-caliber team deal. I'm tired of playing against the Magic, Lakers, and Cavs. Just waiting on Tuesday so I can start my Lakers Association....

Yes, I agree with you all. It's very challenging to play against high caliber teams, and even difficult when players abuse their star players. But I really don't mind losing, much less losing against the Magic, Lakers, Cavs, Boston or the Nuggets. I merely want a fair game.

I've had 3 completed unranked matches yesterday, all using the same team. In fact, majority of the players I played against yesterday were using the Lakers. Rarely did I see players using Charlotte or other teams aside from the Lakers, Cavs, Magic, Boston, Houston and Denver. I gave a different feedback to each of those Lakers guys. I gave a negative to dabeco for exploiting the paint with Kobe and Pau. I gave a neutral to mickey831 because he often uses the help defense exploit by strolling the point guard or Kobe all over the post so that my defenders would panic and slide all over the floor and therefore making the paint open. Finally, I gave a positive rating to XIAOZHU because he made use of Kobe, Pau and Ron well. It was a good all-around inside-outside game, making use of the shot clock with Kobe making 3's or jump shots and dunks on fast breaks. I noticed that's how Kobe plays in the real game with human opponents.

So as you can see, these are all Lakers guys but with different play styles. I didn't mind losing to them. What bothered me was the way these 2 played the game to win.

I hope that I can play online with no lags and etc. But I agree with everything that's been said here by curious101, it's a basketball game, not a poker game where you should try to win in every manner possible... in a b ball game you should try to have fun playing the game the way it's played in real life, 'cause nba 2k10(like any other game) allows you to do such things as exploring bad sliders that make players score in the pain with ease and so on... but I have to say that is possible to shut down oponnents like that.

The best game I've played so far was Minnesota (me) at Milwaukee (MisterATM). Perfect framerate and no lag, and it was a close, well-played game the whole way through.

This is pointless.. Chances that anybody would encounter someone from this list are low, and they might not play another game online.. And there is a sun in lobby that shows feedback.
Also its not always the users fault.. They just use what the game gives and allows them..
Most dont even know what cheese is.. They just find something that works and use it.
If real teams could score so effectively with pick and roll lead pass they would use it every time.

Translated into shooter games its like if you could get an easy headshot every time but you shoot him in a leg so he has a chance to kill you because otherwise is cheesing.

thats right. LEBRON.. god i really hate Lebron now(actually already hated him a long time ago).
I give him the ball, and he just runs to the basket, when I stop him, he tries again and again AND AGAIN. And as we know Lebron cant miss a shot.
He didnt even make any crossovers he just ran to the basket and was happy every time he scored a easy basket.

just wanna share my ranked match experience with penny32.

first of all, the guy is a SORE LOSER.

Lakers(me) @ Celtics(sore loser)

I started the game sloppy as i wasnt able to play a ranked match for 3 days. you'll surely feel different once you get used to a 35fps game(offline) and then playing an online ranked match which is about 15fps. From 1st Q to half of 3rd Q, he hammered me with tons of inside points. Not just simply inside points but plays like making rasheed and kg run all over a spot then when he's able to leave the dumb AI teammate, he'll go straight to the bucket and slam it home. So from that kind of play, he easily captured a double-digit lead having 13 as the largest. In my part, I also score lots of points in the paint, though those are very well earned points in the paint (sim players know what im saying). I played a steady and well-focused game. I can prove that with my 2 TO's while the sore loser got 11 TO's from my 11 steals. Wanna know how did that happened?

Well, during the half of 3rd Q, I started changing my defensive strategy. Then here comes the biggest game turning 4 possesions of the game. I started to guard rajon rondo while dribbling the ball down to the court (he's always bringing the ball down) by controlling shannon brown. I attempted to steal the ball from him. out of 4 possession, I successfully stripped the ball and stole it just once which turned into a fast break dunk by shannon brown. the other 3 possessions where also TO's in his part, though in a form of steals from his careless fast break passes. When shannon brown tried to pressure him by bodying rajon rondo, he just passed the ball from the half court to either one of his frontcourt bigs. then of course, I easily tip the ball away and start a pass break. another 2 possessions were dunks by shannon brown and kobe. and the last one, is a pull up 3 ball by kobe. So from being down by 10 in the 3rd Q, it was trimmed down to just 1.

From that point, I kept the game close and managed to get my 1st lead in the 4th Q. Lead changes happened as we exchanged baskets until I tightened up my D in the paint, forcing him to take bad shots. some were still falling as we are talking about rasheed, kg and kendrick perk. but some were missed. so i managed to break away and win with a 4 point lead. 74-70. the last minute was long due to intentional fouls he gave me. he must be thinking he can outscore me by letting me score thru free throws. good thing is i practice to shoot FT's and i manage to make majority of them.

Then as the buzzer sounds, he quickly press pause and leave me hanging for 2mins just to wait for him to unpause it. maybe he was hoping for a network disconnection or something to void his lost.

What's worse is he gave me a negative rating of just a horrible opponent which is simply unacceptable as i played my ass of and did not cheat or played as a cheeser. perhaps, i should have not shown some pity and not gave him a neutral rating. instead, a Negative - POOR SPORTSMANSHIP rating.

One is from ace_of_hearts who gave me a POOR SPORTSMANSHIP rating just because i quit before the tip off of the game as life calls me out so I gotta quit the game. good thing is it's before the tip off so I wont be cast of a lose. and the other one is from that SORE LOSER penny32.

lol.. read again bro. i didnt say I am attempting to strip the ball during inbounds. I said while rondo is bringing the ball down the court which means the ball is successfully inbounded.

Here we go again. Another Lebron lover. I gave this guy a Neutral because he set the game on 3-minute quarters. To me, it wasn't long enough to set plays. But this one just made statues out of his team mates. Lebron made more than half the total score of his team by attacking the rim like a bull.

30 points in the paint out of a total score of 32.

I think and I was played with him, Cavaliers, after 2 half he has 36 points, 34 points from the paint, but I played farther, in the 4 half, after 3 my three points shot I had 8 points, 58 - 50 and then he left the game .
Whit what program you do screenshots? And I want to conduce.

I want to write about Luciano, he took Boston, 62 points in the paint from 73 ( Free throws not included it is 8 free throws and 1 three point with Rondo ). With him is only good thing - no lag.

Jam-Carlitos-32 or some shit like that...lol. Straight LeBron ALL THE WAY. One jumpshot the whole half and the only other person to take a shot was Shaq. I played with Portland and I guess he disconnected, so I got the win but dude is trash.
