I can't miss. I can't play this

I was really impressed when I first starting playing NBA Live 10. The more I play the less control I feel I actually have.

My main problem is shooting. In NBA Live 06 you had to release at the peak of your shot to consistently make jump shots. Sure you could still make an occasional shot if you just tapped the shoot button or released as you were coming back down, but for the most part you really needed to release at the peak of your shot. If you didn't you would lose. In NBA Live 10 I don't see any consistency with my shooting. I tap the shoot button & the shooter makes the basket. I fade away & just as my player's feet is about to hit the floor I release & the basket is good. I release at the peak of my jump & the basket is good. Bank shots are good too. I'm trying to miss & I can't. I'm playing a dynasty with the Bobcats. Raja Bell & Raymond Felton are shooting "Lights out". They're both shooting way over 50% & that's not right.

I've tried playing at all levels & adjusting my sliders with little success. On superstar I'm able to miss a little more often, but the computer intercepts 1/3 of my passes & I turn the ball over in the paint all game. It's no fun. I've adjusted the sliders to compensate for these issues & it's fine for the easier levels, but not superstar.

Shooting feels WAY too random. I loved 08 except for the awful shooting. I had to quit playing 08, because of it. Although the shooting is better in 10, I still feel like I'm not making or missing my shots, the computer is deciding it for me.

I have a lot of issues with this game.
Game play
1. Computer intercepts too many passes.
2. Too many turnovers in the paint.
3. I get an offensive rebound, just to get it stripped away before I can even act.
4. Computer shoots too good.
5. Fast breaks are too hard to execute. Often I have a superstar on a "one on one" situation with a weak
defender & I either get stripped or he stops my ability to get to the rim.
6. I can't draw fouls with any consistency.

Presentation
1. Players are glowing. Seriously they look like they are radiated. They look like they're covered head to toe in
vasoline. I thought I saw bald spots on the players, but it's actually the light reflecting off of them. They must
be playing under some serious heat lamps or something.
2. Players "skate" too much on the court. For example I have a two on one situation. Player recieves an open
pass. Instead of just shooting the open J like I want him to, he "skates" around & takes a crazy fade away.

Audio
1. You may not realize how much of the commentary is recycled from past games, but I do. It's an incredible
amount. Besides it being recycled Marv & Steve suck.

I can work with all of those issues except for the lack of control on shooting. It's like playing a baseball game & just pressing the swing button as soon as the pitcher throws. You don't time it or wait for the ball you just press the button & see if the computer will decide if it's a miss, foul ball, base hit or homerun. What fun is that?

I'm going to play this game a bit more & hope that my impressions are wrong, but I think I'll just be trying to fool myself. I'll mess with the sliders some more, but I don't think that will really change the lack of control on shooting. It looks like I'll be going back to 06 on the PS2. So much for buying a 360.
