New Knicks offense

Hey guys! I love this year´s Live (been playing since 95). I find the game VERY realistic with some slider tweaks (i use Ben´s sliders).

I just have a few questions that a i didn´t found an answer for:

1. With Marbury going to New York what´s there offense now?

2. What offense reflects better a jump shot basketball style?

3. What should i do to avoid this: I play with NYK. When Mutombo is in the paint, every time i press the dunk/layup button he dunks over EVERYBODY!!! It shouldn´t be that way. Also, A. Houston dunks too much, and i prefer layup´s.

Any help would be MUCH apreciatted, thanks.

P.s. - im Portuguese, so excuse for any mistake´s on my language...

Editing Mutombo and Houston might help. Check out the "Need Help Editing Players" thread. Fgrep 15 edits the players that need it, including reducing or increasing their skill level, to make it more realistic. It goes team by team , in alphabetical order.

Thank you Aikman. I was going to change that in the game, but i remembered that editing the ratings in the edit player option would screw up the ratings with customized rosters.

I´l get the program and change it.

Still... you don´t really know what offense should i use with my Knicks, do you?

in real life? probably pick and roll like crazy with starbury taking the open jump. thats how it was in PHO...it's pick and roll on the wing with starbury. in fact, i do it all the time in the game . it works darn well too. in real life, also look for allan houston to come off backdoor screens that will set him free for an open jumper. but it also depends on chaney...what he wants to do.

if you prefer layups, tweak your sliders to make the dunk frequency lower and the layup freq higher. also what difficulty level do you play on? Deke has troubles scoring with me.

when i say "What offense reflects better a jump shot basketball style?" i mean, what strategy (Box, Double High, Triangle, etc...) is better to play a jump shot style of basketball - without all those fancy lay-ups or tomahawk jams, you know?

p.s. - i play in All-Star.

Do yu really think the Knicks will make starbury a new iverson on the knicks? i think that with houston, van horn, and penny that´s not really necessary...

anyway, thanks for the advice. i´ll put dunk% at 10% and layup at 90% and see what i get.

Anyway i´ve getting the score at the high 80´s low 90´s - 12 min. quarter, and fg% between 42% and 48%. Rebound very even (offensively and defensively, same with blocks, steals, assists and ft.

Very good stats, very reallistic. But anyway, the "style" of the gameplay, it´s not VERY realistic...
