I did this so that I can keep up with all of the real-life trades and player signings. You can't trade a player if he is injured, so it would be more convenient to just leave the injuries and CPU trades off. I want to keep this association as real and authentic as possible. Thanks for the comment.

I hate the Cavs, but I wish you the best of luck. Seeing a 2K10 dynasty makes me feel so "good", as I can't run it.

Top Headline: The Sacramento Kings will pay a visit to the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center today to kick start the 2009-2010 NBA Season. After coming off of a seventeen win season, swingman Kevin Martin hopes that he can lead his struggling squad to a winning season this year, or maybe even farther. With the acquisition of star Shawn Marion, the already star studded Mavericks have no plans of letting the Kings get a win in their building. The tipoff time is at 7:30 P.M. ET on NBA TV.

Gay Ecstatic About Playing With Iverson: Rudy Gay, star of the Memphis Grizzlies, is more than happy to be playing with future hall-of-famer Allen Iverson. The Grizzlies could surely use an offensive boost after coming off of a twenty-four win season. Iverson did not have a good run while playing in Detroit with the Pistons, after being traded by the Nuggets for Chauncey Billups. He is definitely excited to team-up with youngster O.J. Mayo at the two guard spot though. Memphis will play its first game tomorrow, at home, versus the Washington Wizards.

Ilgauskas Hints At Retirement After End Of Season: Veteran center Zyndrunas Ilgauskas of the Cleveland Cavaliers will likely retire on the team that he started his career with. Zydrunas is thirty-four years old, going on his twelfth season in the league. Ilgauskas has been a two-time NBA All-Star, but has never won a championship. This could be the year that it could happen for himself and the Cavaliers. The addition of Shaquille O'Neal only says the words "championship". Cleveland will play its first game next Friday, at home, versus the Washington Wizards.

Smith Looks To Have Another Great All-Around Year: Josh Smith can just about do it all. He is not the best player on the Atlanta Hawks, but he can certainly fill up the stat sheet. Last season he averaged 15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game with the Hawks. He won the 2005 NBA Slam Dunk Contest during his rookie year. He was also selected to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team after joining the NBA strait out of high school. Atlanta will play its first game tomorrow, on the road, against the Phoenix Suns.

Top Headline: Center Al Jefferson of the Minnesota Timberwolves was having the best season of his career last year until he tore his ACL in a game at New Orleans. He was averaging 23.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game until he was hit with the injury. After successful reconstructive surgery, he looks to bounce back tonight, at home, versus the New York Knicks. The tipoff time is at 7:00 P.M. ET. It will be a tough game for Minnesota though, as Mike Miller and Randy Foye were traded to Washington for a first round draft pick. The Timberwolves gained nothing out of that draft pick though. Ricky Rubio has decided to play yet another season in Spain.

Ginobli Looks To Solidify Starting Guard Spot: After coming on and off of the bench for multiple seasons now, Manu Ginobli finally looks to reserve a starting position on the San Antonio Spurs. He has had multiple injuries throughout his career, causing him to come off of the bench for some games. He is a former Sixth Man of the Year award winner though. He played a career low forty-four games last season. He also missed the entire 2009 NBA Playoffs, as San Antonio was eliminated in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks. Manu has no plans of letting that happen in the 2010 NBA Playoffs. The Spurs will play their first game on Saturday, on the road, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Jackson Dealing With A Sticky Situation In Golden State: Swingman Stephen Jackson of the Golden State Warriors is definitely not satisfied with the position of his team. He asked for a trade during the offseason, to either the Cleveland Cavaliers or any of the three teams in Texas. Stephen's main request is to play for a team that consistently makes the postseason. The Warriors have really struggled to play at that level. Golden State has only made the playoffs once in the past fifteen NBA seasons. It wasn't a bad run for them either, as they defeated the first seed Dallas Mavericks in the first round. The eighth seed Warriors made history by overcoming this incredible feat in six games, as they were the underestimated eighth seed. Golden State will play its first game on Friday, at home, versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

Wade Confident With Miami's Chances This Season: Superstar Dwyane Wade is ecstatic and ready to play with the Miami Heat's seasoned players and upcoming young talent. Veterans Jermaine O'Neal, Udonis Haslem, and Jamaal Magloire are very pleased with what they've seen from their young-talent core. Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers, and Daequan Cook figure to be huge factors in whether the Heat will improve on last season's forty-three victories and playoff appearance. Beasley got into some personal trouble during the offseason though, but it shouldn't affect him too seriously. He already has most of his problems sorted out. Miami will play its first game next Wednesday, at home, versus the Dallas Mavericks.

Thanks. I apologize for the lack of updates, but I should be able to have one up soon. My Player mode is extremely addicting, as I'm desperately trying to make the Washington Wizards. I'm also having a blast playing ranked matches. I'm 11-4, riding some momentum from a five game win streak.

Top Headline: MVP candidates Dwight Howard and Chris Paul will do battle tomorrow night in New Orleans. They will not be the only all-star players there, as Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, and David West will also take the floor then. Emeka Okafor will make his debut with the Hornets tomorrow. New Orleans will look for Okafor to pick up right where Tyson Chandler left off. The Magic also have a plethora of new players making their Orlando debut, including Brandon Bass, Matt Barnes, Ryan Anderson, and Jason Williams. The tipoff time is at 7:00 P.M. ET on TNT.

I should soon be posting the last daily update. From now on, I will only be doing multiple-day recaps. It's a much easier concept. I will have two updates, one previewing every game around the league and one recapping every game around the league, until the next game I play. I mainly decided to do this because the Cavs are the last team in the league to play their first game, and it's kind of a waste to do daily recaps with twenty-nine game seasons.

Top Headline: In an unexpected victory, the Timberwolves defeated the Nuggets yesterday, in Denver. Minnesota started of strong in the first quarter outscoring the Nuggets 29 to 18. In the second quarter Denver made a slight comeback, but it wasn't enough. Minnesota thrashed them in the third quarter, 34 to 18. It didn't get much better for the Nuggets after that. Ryan Gomes played a terrific game for the Timberwolves. He shot 10 for 14 from the field, and 3 for 4 from the three point line. Denver looks to redeem them self tomorrow, at home, versus the Utah Jazz. The tipoff time is at 7:00 P.M. ET on ESPN.

Detroit Expected To Still Continue To Struggle: After being an elite team for the past few years, Detroit ruined the representation of their franchise last season. The Pistons traded Chauncey Billups to Denver, in return for Allen Iverson. Iverson did not have too well of a run with Detroit, as he was soon hit with an injury. Even though this trade would eventually allow Detroit to sign free agents Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva during the offseason, those two players could never compare to the presence of Billups and Rasheed Wallace. There wasn't a good chance Wallace would stay with the Pistons anyway. He decided to sign with the Boston Celtics. The Pistons will soon enough have to find a big man that can fill Rasheed's shoes, if they want to return to being a title contender. The Pistons will play their first game on Sunday, on the road, against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Deng Looks To Make A Strong Return: After being hit with an injury last season, forward Luol Deng of the Chicago Bulls is confident that he can help his team go all the way. Last year Deng averaged 14.1 points, 6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, in forty-nine games. Luol is a superb defender and a much needed force on offense that the Bulls could have used last season. During the 2004-2005 NBA season, Deng was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He was also awarded the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2007. Chicago plays its first game next Monday, at home, versus the Phoenix Suns.

The Birdman Flies Again: After struggling with some personal troubles in the past, big man Chris Andersen of the Denver Nuggets really made a name for himself last season. He averaged a career-high 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks last season. Andersen received the nickname "Birdman" from a former NBA player for his athletic, high-flying game. That nickname has become very popular with NBA fans. His trademark has nonetheless become his "Birdman" celebration, in which he crosses his arms and flaps his hands like the wings of a bird after scoring an emphatic dunk or blocking a shot. The Nuggets will play tomorrow, at home, versus the Utah Jazz.
