What's more important, On-Line play or Dynasty Mode?

I feel like developers can't give enough attention to both so one must suffer. I don't want to play on-line. I don't care about DNA. I want improved "create a player" options. I want an improved dynasty mode. Some one said All-Star Weekened wasn't even in Dynasty Mode anymore. Most of all I just want to play Dynasty Mode & not have the game freeze up on me, because I created a player or for some other reason.

I feel like I'm alone & that dynasty mode is being fazed out. It's fact that arcades & home consoles couldn't co-exist. Are single-player modes like dynasty mode going to be left out for better on-line play?

Even these forums have a specific board for online, but there is no board for dynasty mode. That says alot in itself.

They are both very important but i think the create a player options are very in depth. I also think that DNA is important to the hardcore fan. It also effects dynasty mode if you care about teams and players playing like their real selves. I agree that dynasty mode could have been better and unfortunatley if you don't like playing online more and more feautures are going to be online. I think dynasty mode offline will always be important to the game but like i said eventually there will probally be more and more online features some how going into a offline dynasty mode. With the forums having online sections and not of dynasty sections thats not really true. There is the dynasty and frachise story section and then you can create your own topics for dynasty mode in the nba live __ section, For example in the nba live 10 section i created the rate my trade section. Also there is the all star and rookie game but no slam dunk and 3 poit contest. The reason for this is there were apparently glithces in the dunk and 3 point contest. To me it sounds like your more of arcade stlye basketball and your not into the realistic stats, players ect which is fine. Trust me though your not alone alot of people play dynasty mode but alot of people also play online esspecially with dynamic season this year. I haven't had the game freeze on me though so i don't know whats going on there. I've used the create a player feature too. I hope you read this post because it took me a while to type.

I too would like to see improvements to the Dynasty Mode like Multiplayer Dynasty. I mean 2K has multiplayer association and Live doesn't have multiplayer dynasty. I did see the allstar weekend in dynasty mode in 10. I know there was rookies vs sophomores. I played as the clippers and none of my guys made it to the slamdunk and 3 point shootout. The first season I got 6th pick and I was going to take a 6'0" SG who plays like Iverson but wasn't on the board. So i drafted not a need but a backup center to Chris Kaman and DeAndre Jordan. I also then signed Derek Fisher and Al Harrington in free agency. I had to take the game back and on second season so far started out 3-0. A Multiplayer Mode would be fun to place against my friends since there is no season mode. I hope they make more improvements to dynasty mode next year and at least add multiplayer dynasty mode and saving during the offseason.

In the past we've had Dynasty sections, but we found most people didn't use them and a lot of the topics that were being posted in there could just go in the General section. The Dynasty sections used to be busier before we went with the whole Dynasty Stories section, since those made up a bulk of the Dynasty posts there isn't as much call for a seperate section. At least, not right now. It has nothing to do with us not caring about Dynasty Mode, I personally consider myself a huge Dynasty geek and it's my mode of choice.

To answer your question, I think both are important. Sports games need a robust online component, but Dynasty Mode still tops my list. I think the focus on gameplay and presentation took away from Dynasty Mode more than anything this year, at least that's my opinion from the outside looking in. With the improvements they've made to gameplay, I think NBA Live 11 has to be the "mode" update, which should hopefully mean it will be a further leap forward into being the kind of all-around experience that we want.

Just a note about DNA, that is actually an important element of the game as that's not just referring to online updates but also the way players play and how well they perform. It's an area that's worth investing in, but with the gameplay being well-received this year, next year should be about the depth of game modes.

Certainly another perk. Easier to pick up a single user mode and play it whenever you want, too.
