Resigning Free Agents

i have a problem that is very annoying, i just finished my first dynasty(and sadly, i lose by 1 point in a thrilling double overtime) and when i am in my off season, the game crashes whenever i choose "sign free agents". i never try to simulate it so i do not know if it will crash also. can somebody help me with that?

i am using tup 09 mod. and afaik, i have all the updates. thanks in advance!

Do you get an error message when the game crashes?

no sir. the game just crashed and the "nba live 08 has encountered a problem and needs to close" is all i can see. and btw, i tried to simulate it and it crashed also.

Try using another roster or the default rosters and see if the problem occurs. If not, there could be an issue with the TUP 09 roster that needs to be addressed or another fix that needs to be installed. I didn't work on TUP 09 so I'm afraid I can't be any more specific than that.

2 possible reasons:

some players in TUP09 mistakenly have "Years_Left" = 0....recent updates has since fixed that
solution: [MAKE A COPY OF UR DYNASTY SAVE FIRST] open up ur players.dbf in DB Commander. look for any players that have "Years_Left" = 0 and change it to 1....(u may want to do that for ur normal save roster, just in case u want to start another dynasty with ur roster)

some teams have more than 15 players...this wont be fixed until NBA rosters are official rosters are shortened to 15 or less
solution: [MAKE A COPY OF UR DYNASTY SAVE FIRST] release players before starting dynasty....u can also DBF edit ur dynasty but it can get tricky....in addition to changing their teamcode to "50"...u need to create attributes for their "preferred contract $/length"
