NBA 2k10 PC Info (specs kinda)

Talk about NBA 2K10 here.

Can i run the game smoothly?

Core2duo 2.2ghz
2.5gb ram
512 mb video card.

i ask this because im experiencing lag problems in nba 2k9,specially during pre game,im talking about the scene where it shows the teams standings, and also in free throw and timeouts. but during the real game, the game runs smoothly. So does it lag because of my processor, or because of my 512mb vc? cause im planning to upgrade my video card to 1gb for nba 2k10. but i think it would be a waste of money if it still has its lag problem after upgrading it.pls help.

Intel 486, 1024kb Ram, VGA graphics (two years ago I upgraded from CGA), 40 MB HDD, MS Dos 6, Windows 3.11. Just PC speakers but I could possibly buy a Soundblaster 16-card. Minesweeper and Solitaire run flawlessly without any lag.
EDIT Ah, I also have TWO floppy drives! One with 5,25", one with 1.44MB on one disk. Can't wait to install the game with thousands of disks.

What kind of video card?? Memory on video card is just for bigger resolution. It`s better to have ATI 4870 with 512 RAM than ATI 3850 with 1 Gb RAM. Or Ge Force 8800GT with 512Mb than GeForce 9500 with 1Gb.

At what resolution are you running the game? I also have a 4670 512mb ddr3 but sad to say I cant run 2K9 on all high settings the game gets to laggy.

Here my specs:

Amd x2 4000+ 2.1ghz
2gb Geil ddr800 ram
Sapphire 4670 512mb 128bit ddr3

Guys do you think my procie is the bottle neck?

It's on 5.25" with full EGA graphics. But this is shareware, you need to mail away for the rest of the game.

Yes! Even 2K9 had problems with AMD CPUs. Well, to play with ultra-high details you need fast CPU, because all the jersey and shorts movements are calculated by CPU, not GPU (Graphic Processing Unit aka graphic card), except for newest generation of graphic card...

pistonnation, you can upgrade your computer to play it. Just go to your nearest PC shop and ask for specs similar to this:
Leander wrote:Intel 486, 1024kb Ram, VGA graphics (or EGA as suggested), 40 MB HDD, Soundblaster 16-card.

Those ugrades are cheap, you will still have enough money to buy the game.

GTS 250 is more than enough, but you also need at least Intel Core2Duo or AMD AthlonX2/Phenom CPUs. And, of course, newest drivers for all that...

Core 2 Quad Q6600(2.40GHz)
3GB DDR2
Dual 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Video Cards are NOT SLI'd. Only one is being used, the other is doing physx crap.

Ran smooth just as good as 2k9. Average of 50-60 FPS with drops to 40, and once to 30 for like, a second.
Opinions are my own.

I can run 2k9 and Batman AA on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 (Stock Speed), Ati HD4670, 2 Gig DDR2 RAM on ultra high/max settings without problems. Those having problems with the HD4670, check whether your processor, ram, are higher than the game's system requirements. Also, don't forget to check your motherboard before you buy a new card. If you have a board with an AMD chipset I suggest you use an Ati card. If your board has an Nvidia chipset, use an Nvidia card for better compatibility.

Your video card will be the bottleneck here, I'm not sure you can crank it up to max settings with this card, or play at the highest resolution. It's a matter of trying I guess.
1. if my pc was able to run 2k9 in high/very high it will be able to run 2k10?

It seems like it so far, the performance seems to be roughly the same.

Master Jaosming,
Can you upload a mini video of your gameplay. . .
See my specs is not that far from yours so I think I'll use yours as a benchmark. . .

Thanks in advance!
