Funny how people were kind of noncholant about it then, but were blown away by it when Kobe brought it back in 1997 and others started pulling it out more often in subsequent contests. You'd think there would've been a bigger reaction back in 1984, though I guess it was all about the free throw line back then.

Well the judges did award him a 48, which is pretty high, considering that it was a creative dunk back in those days.
