fx5200 problem with nba live 2k4..

Postby scqg on Sun Dec 21, 2003 11:44 am

i just bought a new pc..p4 2.8 HT, p4s800 motherboard, 512mb ddr 400, geforce4 fx5200 128mb vidcard..

when i'm playing nba live 2k4, it hangs every few seconds then resume again for few seconds then hangs again and so on and so forth..so what's the problem?

by the way, i already downloaded the latest driver for the vid card..version 53 something..released just this month..also, i downloaded the latest directx9..but i still get the same results..

anyone can enlighten me regarding this problem? thanks.

I'm having troubles with fx5200 too. When i play a game, sometimes the games freezes, or it bring to me to Windows without the chance to resume the game from application bars, and sometimes it even reset the computer when i'm in the game. I had attention about card settings, but antialiasing is off, v-sync is off, it seems that's a problem of the card with Nba Live 2004.

I had a GeForceFX 5200 card. Like Wiggle said, it's an entry-level card.

You can't max out the settings. You want it at like medium and tweak around. Turn V-Sync off or you get this transparent effect when you see instant replays. Use Biliearn filtering if you need and Triple Buffer will help smooth out the gameplay.

Hope that helps.
