Talk about NBA Live 10 here.

Are we going to be able to dunk rebounds off of the rim this year? This has been requested since 08 and I’ve yet to see progress. I think it would make the game more exciting and it has replay value.

And I’ve notice hot spots aren’t in this years demo, is the hot spot era over already?

Tip dunks no, tip-ins yes.

I believe Hot Spots have been integrated into the DNA data this year, though we can't bring up an on-court overlay during gameplay.

I just have some Live 10 questions, and would appreciate if anyone could help.

1. Does anyone know if Live will have audio for first names on created players?

2. Will you be able to upload face pictures to add on created players like Fight Night or FIFA?

3. In Dynasty mode, can players get a season ending injuries?

4. Will you be able to sign free agents to 10 day contracts, in case you need players temporarily because of injuries?

5. Will there be storylines during free agency signing or the draft? For example will there be rookies that refuse to play for your organization ala Ricky Rubio/Steve Francis, also will players make trade request during a bad seasons or etc.?

6. Will the crowd abandon their team if there down 20 plus points with 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter?

7. Will one player have numerous pre-game animations, because it’ll probably get boring watching the same clips over and over during a season?

8. Will the training facilities be similar to last years with 4 courts?

9. Can coaches get fired in Dnasty Mode?

10. Will EA update coaching chages, because I'm sure all 30 coaches will not hold on to their jobs all season?

11. Will there be All-Star Throwback uniforms?

12. Will you be able to add onto history records, like braking Scot Skiles 30 assist in one game and etc.?

Any answers would be appreciated, thanks.

Not much of that stuff has been talked about (or explicitly mentioned) as yet.

Andrew,

They may be just a small contribution, but it could be worthwhile nevertheless.

I contacted NBA Live PA Announcer Al Murdoch, regarding my NBA Live 06 sound editing issues. Even though he's unable to help me because that would violate his contract with EA (something I presumed, but I just had to try), he mentioned this:

"You will be pleased to know, though, that the soon to be released NBA LIVE 2010 will incorporate the style and 'local arena' phrases of most of the PA Announcers in the NBA to make the game even more realistic."

I consider him a more than trustable source. For the record, I got his e-mail address from his website, http://www.almurdoch.com, where his Live contribution is actually mentioned in his profile.

yep, this was talked about in one of the blogs i think, or maybe it was just info at OS that never trickled down here.
Opinions are my own.

good news new zealand are in fiba mode instead of korea. Other then that fiba mode is poor with same rosters and no updated faces except probs for usa. Hopefully sean marks is in there team and kirk.

I assume you're talking about Al Murdoch. That one is pretty straightforward, his contract most likely states that he cannot record any audio that isn't sanctioned by EA Sports, so he likely can't jump ship to a rival game anytime soon and certainly can't record audio for free for use with an unlicensed NBA Live modification. However the terms are written, the bottom line is that he could not legally contribute to a speech patch.

I just have read the OP and visited the NBA Live site ... and I don't wanna make a new thread complaining about it, so I put it here :).

No PC version? WTF EA? Why don't you hand some money over to 2k Sports in a briefcase ... its easier that way than sending your customers over there to do it. Wasn't a PC version promised or something?

Sorry for the rant ... but I really wanted to give Live another go this time around. Guess I'll stick to 2k10 ...

There were hints of a return to PC, or at least there seemed to be, but it was never actually stated, promised or confirmed.

That would be correct, that's what I meant.

Al Murdoch did contribute to a couple of NHL games, so probably his EA Sports contract is only limited to the NBA. Nevertheless, he cannot provide his voice for NBA 2K or any competitor. And he definitely cannot record new audio for a NBA patch that isn't developed by EA.

I agree wholeheartedly. With 2K on the PC, here's hoping there's incentive for the people who make that call at EA to return to the platform for NBA Live 11.
