Yes, I heard that the patch will pretty much add up the PhysX and the controller options. Have to check it out.

Damn it. It's either this game or 2K10 with my limited budget.
I wonder how much money I'll raise if I sell myself.

About $40 in here instead of the $20. I will still have some money left, but not enough for Batman or no more left if I get Batman first then get 2K10 when it comes out. I want my games now damnit!
I'm in poor mode right now.

I'd buy 2K just because it's the cheaper of the two and I'm sure you could find other ways of obtaining Batman.

True, but I tend to immediately purchase potential GOTY games that I like instead of 'trying' out the 'demo'. Being a Batman fanboy also's a factor. But 2K10 it is...

I've spent hours on the forums, there's some crazy shit going on there. I don't know if GFWL actually removed the patch (called "title patch 1.1"), or if just like me, some peeps just cannot get it to show up when they login to GFWL. It's not a life changer, but since my card can handle PhysX and it was working fine with the demo, I really want to enable that option.
I don't think that patch adds support to other controllers though, at least I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

I tried to open the UserEngine.ini file in the Documents\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\BmGame\Config\ folder, there's an entry that says "PhysXLevel = 0" and I changed it to "PhysXLevel = 1", my game ran choppy -- so I supposed it worked. But the mouse controls are jacked up and cannot be moved. :|

Anyway I just beat the game in Normal level. Will play it at Hard difficulty. This is a very amazing game, great storyline, great voice acting, and the Scarecrow encounters are just amazing, especially the third one.

Sequel plsssz.

Couple of screens that I thought is badass enough:

It looks like most people who tried that cannot even launch the game... :?
The patch has been uploaded somewhere in the Eidos forums so that you can install it manually without going thru GWFL, but like many when I installed it, it spawned a bunch of visual glitches and artifacts when running into objects that are subject to PhysX , so not recommended.
I'm still dealing with the Eidos customer service right now, but my main concern is that even after reinstalling it, I'm still not prompted to enter my authentication key, and GFWL still does not prompt me install any update.

EDIT: I forgot, Batman AA already shipped 2.5 million copies, so Eidos is pretty psyched about that.

Here are some of mine, all maxed out, originally 1680x1050:

Also, for those like me who could not get the patch 1.1 thru GFWL, it was uploaded differently, and it seems to work fine now, PhysX is finally operational.

Coolness, after finishing story mode, you'd unlock the Armored Batsuit for CHALLENGE MODE USE ONLY. I'll find a way to transfer the files in Story Mode.

Not that it's all important, but, it looks badass. :headbang:

Pfft, the real Batman never had a yellow circle, only the crap Batman's did.

I can't be the only one who beat it and wished there were four times more of the game to go through. Only Metroid makes me feel the same way. Which makes plenty of sense as this is Metroid-lite but with Batman.

A sequel has been greenlit btw, and I literally cannot wait.

But Batman's suit isn't as high-tech and bulletproof back then, the yellow helps the evildoers to aim for his chest. His chest can better absorb the impact than any body part, except the ass.
So the comics say.

Yellow circle indicates the Batman who fails at being Batman.

Absolutely ridiculous statement. That is like saying the real Ninja Turtles were animated in 3D. Or that the real Ralph Macchio is Will Smith's black son. Just simply not true.

Batman's ass is absorbant?

Played the game a bit. It's fun.

This I have to agree with, I felt the game is too short. Especially the Penitentiary part. I thought there are bunch more inside the place.

I'm taking my time with it in order not to finish it too fast, but it gets pretty addictive. I'm at 18% right now, and it really is a fun game. For once, Eidos did something right.

He wouldn't have to, the shark would already be dead in the water.
