Isn't it a little premature to do this when there are still several free agents? Also, how the fuck did you miss 6th man?

What bragging rights could potentially come out of this? So you were able to guess the majority opinion of a bunch of idiot sportswriters?

hmm... you get to say "you can predict what those idiot sportwriters are thinking 10 months from now"... honestly, idk, at least this thread is about competition.

I think threads where we predict the league standings is funner. Twas enjoyable last year. I think I'll start one of those once Nate, Felton and Lee find teams.

I'm all for running games like this, but it seems a little premature to me as well. In fact, given the uncertain factor of injuries and the like, you can't really make decent picks until at least after the All-Star break.

Even then, people are still just guessing who gets a majority of votes from sportswriters. Like Bill from KOTH says after voting "I guessed right four out of five times!"

It's better for people to pick who they think deserves it, you can't do that until the end of the season, and then it just turns into lists or "that's just my opinion, man!" Or the rules aren't specific, so people just post who they think will win and they say "that's just who I think will win, it's not who I think should win!" And then they never say who they think should.

Having both seems like a fair compromise. Having a predictions/guessing game where you simply pick the winners and either get them right or wrong based on the outcome, but also have a thread for those who want to make and discuss who they think should be the winners, regardless of what the sportwriters or anyone else says and make a clear distinction between the two.

nah. i won't change the deadline yet. besides, the injuries are what make this contest unpredictable.

can anyone give me an opinion on what would be the deadline?
