hmm..ive just finished my live 05 season with the spurs with manu ginobili was my star player,... and beno udrih was my significant sixth man during the campaign.. we finished 49-33 for the season..then win the championship in the playoffs... i played all the games.... manu ginobili avg was.. 19ppg 5rpg 7apg 3spg 0.3bpg.. 55%fg 39%3fg 88%ft.... but by the way i used the default rosters so manu got a 74 rating when my season started.... when the off season started.. i was shocked when i saw manu's rating down to 68.... i was very disappointed... while tony parker who was injured during half of the season and the playoffs and avg 11ppg 1rpg 4apg 1spg 25% 3FG grew from 75 rating to 78.... hmm....
can anybody explain this to me??? how does the function compute the ratings during off season??? is it based on the performance in the past season?? age?? or is it only in the random way of how the cpu will rate such players./ please...enlighten me guys.......... tnx.....

Player development is based on a hidden attribute called DESTINY which ranges from 1 (best) to 8 (worst). Depending on a player's DESTINY rating, they'll develop or decline accordingly. Players with good DESTINY ratings will develop for longer and have the best chance at reaching their full potential. Lower DESTINY ratings will see players decline earlier.
What you do during the season is irrelevant. You could average 100 ppg with a player but it won't change anything.
