No major problems with the first half of that list, although personally I'd put guys like Luis Scola (55th pick in 2002), Steve Blake (38th pick in 2003), All-Star Mo Williams (47th pick in 2003), Kyle Korver (51st pick in 2003), Ramon Sessions (56th pick in 2007) & a few others ahead of Luke Walton (32nd pick in 2003).

Benji, I believe Manu was drafted in 1999, otherwise he'd probably be number one on the list :P

But he threw out 2009, and included 1999-2000 (people drafted in 1999) in that and all his other top tens. The "decade" he's using and been using is 1999-2000 to 2008-09, he's putting 2009-10 in the next decade.

Based on his previous articles, I don't think he puts too much thought into it. But on that basis, yes, Manu would be number 1 in my books (Y)

All of this guy's lists are jokes, but having Luke fucking Walton over Ramon Sessions and Mo Williams is absolutely ludicrous.

I wouldn't go that far, I think some of his lists have been on the money (give or take a couple of entries) but on this one I certainly agree he's made some noteworthy snubs. Ginobili, Williams and Korver should be on the list. I'd take out Varejao and Walton, possibly Gasol too but more reluctantly.

No he's not, with the 2008/2009 season in the books Gasol is a sophomore. I'd agree that it's a bold move to put him on that list already but the mere fact that he's only played one season doesn't automatically disqualify him. David Robinson made his NBA debut in 1989 owing to his two year naval commitment but he could still be called one of the top draft picks of the 80s...even if he proved his worth in the 90s.
