NBA Live 10 Impressions From Da_Czar on OS

Negotiation process.

Recently your man Da_Czar was invited to go up to EA Canada to have a look at NBA Live 10. While elated to have an opportunity lay my hands on the game early I also had a few demands of the LIVE team on my visit.

I wanted to be certain no one was spiking my kool-aid (berry blu), so I requested that outside of my tour I be locked away and allowed to play with no one telling me “hey this is cool look at this”. To my surprise they had the exact same thing in mind. I was shocked by how open they were with their product. As I always do I will give it too you straight... No chaser... But to the haters of the series that also includes things I enjoyed about the experience.

This isn't business.... It's Personal !

Czar hit it nice and well on the head. You guys got, what I consider, a really trustworthy guy up there playing and he came back impressed.

Just gimme the demo and let me decide.
Opinions are my own.

I get the impression that Da_Czar is an unbiased source, and he was very impressed with the advancements. It's pretty exciting to think how far video games have come. I'm starting to worry that the game will be too realistic (i.e. too difficult) for me. But that's a much more welcomed problem than having the opposite occur. Can't wait for the demo to drop.

LOL. . .Man, I'm just excited for this game, Ever since seeing the first few videos, I'm so eager to get my hands on it!!

About The Czar's article. . .LOL, Man, he's got me even more hype, I do agree with his statement about putting more pressure on the ball, because sometimes when you try to do that in Live, the computer just dribbles casual, like he's not being effective at all, I love what I read tho. I really can't wait to see this game on my 42 inch TV, I'm probably gonna call in sick lol

What I saw in their eyes was not soley the motivation that comes from getting a paycheck at the end of the week. I saw a hunger and determination that only a dethroned champion could begin to understand.

As I said in the other thread, I believe that's more to do with Sony's end of things. The PS3 demo has been delayed in previous years as well.

Da_Czar's impressions were certainly detailed and I liked what I read. It really does sound like gameplay is approaching what we've long wanted it to be and is already there in some respects. Next week can't come soon enough, I really want to get hold of the demo so that I can experience the gameplay for myself. Of course, his mention that NBA Live 10 isn't perfect should be a sobering comment to keep in mind; as high as my hopes are, I'm not expecting perfection and I don't think anyone should (of any game, really) but huge leaps forward are fine by me.

Much like Jon has said in the recent past, I suppose I'm still a little concerned about the change to the shoot button that we won't be able to customise. I'm probably a little less concerned about it, I think it'll be a reasonable enough learning curve there but it's a little disappointing we can't customise those controls. I guess it'll be less confusing from an official tutorial standpoint, just an adjustment we will have to make.

Other than that, Czar's writeup has given a fair bit of assurance to my own level of anticipation, I'm still keen to find out what kind of improvements and additions have been made to Dynasty Mode and other game modes for that matter, guess we'll find out about them soon enough though. The game sounds like it'll be a lot of fun to play, but hopefully I'll be given plenty of incentive to do that at length in a Dynasty setting.

Apparently Dynamic Dynasty/Season will help with that (Y)

True, though the geek in me still wonders about the accuracy of simulated stats and there was a couple of glitches in 09 that took away from the Dynasty experience.
