I would suggest moving Melo to SG, Lewis to SF and Lee to PF. That line-up would be more effective, imo.

Would've believed in this if OKC wasn't in the Finals . . .

Not in simulation. I've had OKC or even Indiana in the Finals a couple of times (with current rosters), so that's nothing unrealistic.

Aside from odd simulated outcomes, if they've made a couple of trades and drafted a good generated rookie chances are they've set themselves up for better simulated results anyway.

In your 2nd Season , OKC is already in the Finals . . .
So that made it virtually impossible .

Actually, it's pretty feasible in NBA Live 08. Aside from any development/additions to the roster, there's also the factor of injuries and the sometimes random nature of NBA Live's sim engine. It's unlikely, it's certainly unrealistic, but it's not impossible.

I always use my own Primacy Fix everytime a player gets injured either playable or unplayable , maybe that's what keeping OKC from reaching the Finals

I'm starting to think that he used Season Mode in there . . .

If he used Season Mode, he would not be able to play a second year with generated rookies.

The random nature of the sim engine - particularly in NBA Live 08 - facilitates some very odd results. Like I said, it's unlikely and certainly unrealistic given the current state of the real Oklahoma City Thunder, but certainly not impossible with NBA Live 08's quirks.

Well maybe he copied appearance and players.dbf's to a Roster Folder . . .

Tips for Dynasty Mode for Newbies :
- Always do that to change players shoes and accesories when a player gets traded .
- It's a good thing when Dynasty Mode ends 25 yrs. later , you can keep your Dynasty up and running , just copy those two to the database folder in NBA LIVE 08/database then pick your team again ( turn the 2007 Draft Off ) .

Maybe, but it doesn't really matter. Whether it's Season or Dynasty Mode, the sim engine can produce some pretty weird results from time to time. Plenty of things happen in the game that don't happen in real life, so I see no reason to doubt jhedz's results.

yes, sim engine produce weird results, primacy fix? i cant even see its effect, i rather use sim engine fix but that time i didnt use any of those, but sim engine fix really works no more 40+pts or 50+pts and no more C with 10+assist i tried it in my other dynasty,

and no. i didnt copy appearance and players.dbf's to a Roster Folder, i just downloaded the latest rosters and used it.

anyway, it doesnt matter if its realistic or not; possible or impossible, i just played the game.

In NBA Live 08, the Primacy Fix's effects are definitely limited without a sim engine fix as well. It just corrects the Primacy ratings after injuries recalculate them, but without the sim engine fix the simulated stats will still be off.

Out of the box, the game rarely produces realistic stats across the board. Blocks and steals are usually far too low unless you're using a sim engine fix.

I noticed something really, really weird about dynasty mode about the Charlotte Bobcats and the New York Knicks, when those teams are controlled by the CPU, no matter how strong their line-up gets, they still can't win a Championship.

Charlotte as a team averages 92, still a lottery team every year.
New York as a team averages 95, reaches the Playoffs (because I used them), but when I left them (they have a pretty darn strong line-up) they can't still win a Championship ! WTH !?

What's causing this ? Team Chemistry ?

And for a User controlled team it's not, especially if you're not simulating. For the simulated results of a CPU team, it will come into a play a bit. Of course, another explanation for the results you're seeing is mere coincidence. If you run enough simulations, chances are the Knicks and Bobcats would win the championship at some point.

That's irrelevant. I'm just saying if you run enough simulations, you'll probably see every scenario played out with the CPU controlled teams, such as the Knicks or Bobcats winning the championship. As for Team Chemistry, like I said it isn't as big a deal when you're controlling the team as user skill can overcome the AI. CPU controlled teams are affected by it a little more because they don't have the benefit of human intervention on their behalf.
