Please Help me decide

Hi all! I have a decision to make. PS3 or Xbox 360?

I like games/will be playing games such as:

Nba 2k10
Nba Live 10
Fight Night Round 4
UFC 2009 Undisputed
Madden NFL 10

are just some of the games I'm very interested in buying/playing.

Please help me decide.

I heard the 360 has a 50% failure rate, meaning they don't last long as opposed to the 10% or lower failure rate of the PS3. Plus the online gaming is free with the PS3 which is another plus.

Please help me decide.

Nothing to decide. PS3 is safe choice. Xbox will show it's red eye.

Get both, keep them in separate rooms and don't tell them about each other.

Not only are you absolutely terrible at making decisions on your own, this is in the wrong section and there's already like fifty threads on it. Don't make me go find your copy/pasted thread on other forums again.

I came into this thread and expected another this girl or that one thread. Well I got both, online gaming is better on the 360, but I think the ps3 is a better system overall.

I still think that flowchart is a bit too harsh on the consoles, but it makes me smile all the same.

I think it's too kind to the Wii and PC gamers by stereotype have less friends than anyone, but everything else I agree with.

It doesn't really factor in sporting games....if they released good sporting titles on PC then I'd be a PC gamer like I was back with Live in the glory days....looks like I have no friends....ho hum, not like I get to play much between work & study anyways....

Your computer's specs, beau_boy, can handle pretty much everything EXCEPT Mappy.

I have yet to have any problems with my XBOX 360 and mine is the original model (waited at midnight to get this baby at launch day). However, the vast majority of owners have had at least one run-in with the rings of doom or axis of evil or whatever they are calling it.

I like the 360 because XBOX Live is awesome. I've never used PS3 online, though. I think PS3 is the better system and if I had to start all over right now I' probably go with the PS3.

Nobody can ever make a mistake on this forum because they will never hear the end of it.

If you feel that you will be playing the game online a lot and are willing to pay a subscription fee, get the 360.
If you don't mind waiting a month for a patch or a demo that was already released on the 360 and would rather get online play for free, get the PS3. Bonus: You can watch blu-ray movies.

If you buy an xbox then consider a system failure soon. As for your nerves sakes buy a PS3.

It's as much of a concern with 360 as it used to be. My second generation 360 lasted two years and it was second hand to begin with. A friend of mine also had to replace his PS3 a couple of months back and from memory, it was newer than my old 360. Unlike my trusty old NES, SNES and N64, it doesn't seem like the last two generations of consoles are being made to last. Not the first few models, at any rate.

After my xbox360 premium failed, I got an arcade which has an HDMI port. Haven't had one problem with it at all.

I did the same. Much cheaper, too.
