screen resolution..........

i am playing at 1024 x 768..

what kind of difference would it be bumping it up to the next resolution

higher resolutio means more detail

Higher resolution basically makes the picture more "crisp" per-sey, if you want, even though the game isn't supposed to "permit" it, you can edit the settings file and run it at 1600x1200 despite the 1280x1000 in-game options barrier.


p.s. one question i have however, is even though i have all settings maxed out, and running at 1600x1200 i've seen a few screenshots around here that look like they have even more detail. Is there something i'm missing? Or is it just...me?

how do we edit the setting file to run it at 1600 x 1200

Many patchers add a sharpen layer through editing to their screenshots since screenshots take a lot of the quality out.
