Well, to be fair, it IS on the Steam servers so once it's tied to your account you can just download it. (All 10GB or whatever.) But if you have the disk, you just install from that and either turn Steam offline or tell it not to update if you don't want to get the patch because downloading the whole thing takes forever even on broadband.

I barely buy games for pc I prefer playing them on PS3 so I haven't bought any game for year.
